• A Test of Change fortnight has taken place in AMA which has led to reduced length of stay in the area and an increased patient turnaround rate

• There is a test of change planned for Minor Injuries at the end of October involving a variation in clinician coverage to support the 4 hour performance metric

• New Acute Medicine clinics have been launched at RSH to follow up SDEC patients. There is a plan to launch these at PRH soon

• Please take 10-15 minutes to complete your Staff Survey. The link can be found on your email. All entries are completely confidential, and your feedback will help guide future improvements within the department

• A new ED dashboard is being launched in both departments. Key live information will be displayed about the current position of the departments

• Please remember to complete the patient journey to include coding on Careflow. This will ensure the patients are managed on the system on the ward

• Falls risk mitigations to be clearly documented. Confused patients are at risk on trolleys and should be moved ASAP. Post Falls Protocol should be followed and the patient assessed by the senior doctor on the shopfloor

• Restrictive Intervention sections of the Datix to be completed for Rapid Tranquilisation

• MEOWS and blood loss must be monitored in pregnant patients. Right EWS should be used for right patient category

• Please follow the UCC inclusion/exclusion criteria

• The Hospital Transformation Programme (HTP) is continuing to work on the construction of our new clinical areas. Our new Resus and Majors areas are expected to be completed in February 2025
