French Coastal Villa Transformation from Top Architect Located in the desirable Country Club section of Westhampton Beach with scenic views overlooking the 4th fairway of the golf course, this sophisticated one-story 3,700+/- sq. ft., 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath French Coastal Villa has been completely transformed and updated by renowned Hamptons/Connecticut/Florida architect David Neff. The architect masterfully brought out the best of the home's Old World French character and combined it with modern elements and a Hamptons beachy elegance. Now turnkey for today's buyers, the light-filled showplace features grandly scaled rooms, 10 to 15 ft. ceilings throughout, a 36' x 20' living room with marble fireplace, and smile-worthy kitchen with patterned porcelain tile and a 10 ft. center island with waterfall edge that opens to the spacious family room with fireplace. There's also a large butler's pantry, 5th bedroom/office, and an additional 400+/- sq. ft. lower level with 2nd laundry. (The conversion of the
tall existing 700+/- sq. ft. attic space into an additional 2 bedroom, 2 bath second story allows for future expansion.) Outside, you'll enjoy the lushly landscaped property with its several terraces for entertaining and a heated 20' x 40' gunite pool. Only minutes to Main Street and ocean beaches and 90 minutes to NYC. This is one of the Hamptons' finest offerings on the market right now.

Architect David Neff David Neff is a highly regarded licensed architect who specializes in new home construction and renovations in the Hamptons, Connecticut and Florida. David studied art history and studio art at Williams College in Massachusetts, where he won the Bruce Sanderson Prize in Architecture. In 2001, he received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia, a program recognized for its focus on site planning and integration of building and landscape. In 2008, after a decade working for high-end residential firms in Connecticut and New York, David launched his own firm on a full-time basis. His first new house project was featured in Traditional Home’s April 2009 issue, which profiled the “most sophisticated, young, traditional stylemakers nationwide.” David currently has several renovations and new homes under construction in Connecticut and New York. As a real estate investor, David purchased 51 White Oak Lane in Westhampton Beach last fall and is now delighted to bring it to the market for sale. "At first glance, the house looked pretty run down," David said. "But sometimes you walk in the front door and a house really surprises you. With the procession from private court to vaulted entry to grand living room to sunny terrace to swimming pool and golf-course view, I knew this home had big potential.” "The dated finishes and choppy layout were fixable. And I was pretty certain the Old World fixtures and fittings, when combined with modern elements, would take on brand new life. So we kept the best of the house's French character and brightened, modernized and "beachified" it. It's an unusual mix of influences but I like to think the unified color scheme and material palette gives the whole house a happy new flow,” he said. "Transforming 51 White Oak has been a true labor of love and I hope a buyer adores this revitalized French Coastal Villa just as I do."
