Welcome to Savour Kilkenny’s 7th Food Festival 2013 has been a remarkable year for Kilkenny; its people, businesses, and in particular our hospitality sector. Kilkenny has been ranked the friendliest city in Europe by readers of the Conde Nast travel magazine. Confirming its status as one of the country’s top tourist destinations, Kilkenny was voted the ninth most welcoming place on the globe and was the only European city to make the top ten! Add to this Kilkenny’s two Michelin awards, it confirms our reputation as one of the top food destinations not just in Ireland, but in the world. Savour Kilkenny Food Festival, each year develops a programme of activities, which embraces all sectors of the food community from artisan producers to restaurateurs, food agencies to food farmers. We are delighted to have involvement and participation this year from so many Kilkenny businesses which has enabled us to provide an action-packed weekend of activities suitable for all, and many free of charge. Enjoy food markets, cookery demonstrations, food art, food debates and discussions as well as lots of dining events in local hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars. Have a great festival!
