Topics Saxion offers Honours Programmes covering a range of different topics, such as entrepreneurialism, personal leadership, globalisation, project management and social awareness.

Each programme also helps you to develop competences including personal reflection, research skills, critical analysis and ‘outof-the box’ thinking. Whichever route you choose, you can be sure it will broaden your horizons and deepen your understanding. You will work closely with students from other programmes as well as with professionals from industry, and be expected to tackle real-life cases.
An Honours Programme has plenty to offer, but it also makes high demands on you as an undergraduate student in return. The process begins in your second year of study, and lasts three years in total. If you decide to take part, you will evolve into a 'Reflective Professional'; you will learn to think differently, which will help to set you apart in the eyes of prospective employers. And, thanks to the strong foundation of your degree programme, you will be able to bridge the gaps between different disciplines – allowing you to boost innovation and really make a difference.

Head start Successful completion of an Honours Programme contributes to your own personal development, not to mention adding value to your CV. As an Honours student, you will receive a ‘Bachelor with Honours’ degree and become a ‘Reflective Professional’, which gives you a head start on the job market.
"This is one of the best possibilities to deepen the contents of the regular study programme, as well as gaining special insights into the business world, students would not be able to take otherwise. The Honours Programme consists of a lot of different activities: students visit many interesting companies, do a lot of creative activities, and get trainings on soft skills as well. This was one of the best decisions I could make."

Hoge eisen
Thema’s In de Honours Programmes komen verschillende thema’s aan bod. Denk aan ondernemerschap, persoonlijk leiderschap, internationalisering, projectmanagement en maatschappelijk bewustzijn.
Tijdens het programma besteed je aandacht aan persoonlijke reflectie, onderzoeksvaardigheden en 'out-of-the-box’ denken. Binnen alle trajecten vindt verbreding en verdieping plaats en werk je nauw samen met studenten van verschillende opleidingen en professionals uit het werkveld. Ook word je geconfronteerd met prikkelende vraagstukken uit de praktijk.
Analyseren
Een Honours Programme biedt veel, maar stelt ook hoge eisen aan jou als hbo-student. Het traject begint in het tweede studiejaar en duurt in totaal drie jaar. Als deelnemende student ontwikkel je jezelf tot ‘Reflective Professional’. Je onderscheidt je voor toekomstige werkgevers; je leert anders denken. En je wordt – met je bachelor opleiding als basis – een bruggen bouwer tussen vakgebieden. Zo geef je een impuls aan innovatie en maak je het verschil.
Student Maatschappelijk Werk en Dienstverlening
Ontwikkeling Succesvolle deelname draagt bij aan je persoonlijke ontwikkeling én vormt een pluspunt op je cv. Als honours student studeer je af als ‘bachelor with honours’ en ben je een ‘Reflective Professional’, die een voorsprong heeft op de arbeidsmarkt.
"Mij is altijd verteld dat studeren op het hbo hard werken is. Maar eenmaal begonnen viel mij dat mee. Door het Honours Programme te volgen krijg ik de kans om het maximale uit mijzelf te halen! Een studiereis naar Zwitserland, een onderzoek voor het werkveld en inspiratie op doen met andere studenten, zijn activiteiten die wij tijdens de bijeenkomsten ondernemen.
