The third Arctic Business Council summit will coincide with the Arctic Business 2016 conference. The council is an exclusive CEO forum that provides a unique global meeting place for high level decision-makers representing different industries from seafood, tourism, maritime, oil and gas, and minerals. EXECUTIVE WORKSHOPS One of the many valuable ways Arctic Business 2016 participants will collaborate and make their voices heard is by joining an executive workshop. Taking place on the first full day of the event, the many interactive, hot-topic workshops will run in parallel, covering cross-industry as well as industryspecific challenges. The output of each will later be presented on stage in plenum to an influential audience during the conference’s take-away session. Expect concrete action and results. 7

TAKE-AWAY SESSION As part of cooperation with the High North Dialogue (HND) conference, future leaders of the Arctic will join the present Arctic Business leaders for an engaging and thought-provoking session. Presentations incorporating the previous day’s executive workshops, together with input from the HND event, will form the basis of the take-away session. Expect presentations, roundtable discussion and the opportunity for input from the audience. 9

GATEWAY TO ARCTIC BUSINESS Home of the High North Center for Business and Governance and Bodø Graduate school of Business at the University of Nordland, Bodø is already a centre of dialogue between important Arctic stakeholders. It is also the largest city in the industrial county of Nordland, which has rich natural resources and notable activities in all of the industries Arctic Business focuses on. The city and its surroundings are perfect for enjoying the midnight sun in the summer time and watching the northern lights during the winter months. 10
HOW AND WHERE Most activities will take place in the tallest building in northern Norway, the Scandic Havet Hotel, located on the quay in the city centre. The hotel is only two kilometres from the Bodø airport.
HIGH NORTH DIALOGUE The University of Nordland’s High North Dialogue 2016 conference will welcome the region’s future leaders to Bodø at the same time Arctic Business takes place. This enables a dyanmic cooperation between the two events, setting up for an arena for dialogue between current and future leaders of the Arctic. High North Dialogue attendees will join for an engaging and thought-provoking take-away session at the close of Arctic Business.
