Shrewsbury Garden Club
New Projects 2020-2021continued Days of Service
Through out the SGC year members will identify tasks that need to be accomplished in the gardens. An experienced member will provide support and guidance so gardeners of all levels will feel comfortable. Activities may include pruning, planting, deadheading and dividing.
Horticulture Challenge
Our horitculture challenge will focus on propagation by cuttings, division, layering and seed starting. Our goal is to produce more plants for our continuing garden projects and fundraisers. With a focus on flowers, herbs and vegetables that are drought tolerant, pollinator friendly, native or historically accurate for our projects.
Raised Garden Beds at Sunrise Senior Living
SGC will assist the residents of Sunrise Senior Living of Shrewsbury with implementation of perennial plants and annual flowers in their raised beds for all to enjoy. We will teach them how to put the garden to bed in the Fall and how to prepare it in the Spring.
