Presentación La excelencia de productos y servicios es la premisa de las integrantes de la Asociación Gremial de Empresarias y Profesionales, AGEP-V, entidad que nació el 1 de septiembre del 2000, gracias a seis visionarias mujeres de la Región de Valparaíso, empeñadas en crecer aún más, en asociatividad. Con los años de trabajo lo hemos logrado, como también la confianza ganada con nuestra creatividad y sentido solidario para una sana competitividad. Nos reunimos y analizamos cómo potenciarnos unas a otras, cómo generar negocios y buscar mercados. Somos capaces de trabajar mancomunadamente para cumplir nuestros objetivos. Tenemos un sitio WEB, con el estamos saliendo al mundo con una versión bilingüe. Estamos iniciando un nuevo capítulo: internacionalizando nuestro gremio y abriendo un nuevo canal para futuras mujeres empresarias. El trabajo de nuestras socias como su gran valía, nos permite estar en este sitial de progreso. Les agradezco como son y la confianza que me han dado en mi gestión. Cada una de ellas es una historia y que invito a conocerlas en las siguientes páginas.

The excellence of products and services is the premise of the members of the “Asociación Gremial de Empresarias y Profesionales, AGEP-V” (Trade-union Association of Businesswomen and Professionals), entity that was born on September 1st 2000, thanks to six visionary women of the Region of Valparaiso, determined in growing furthermore in business partnerships. With the years of work we have achieved it. Also we have earned the confidence thanks to our creativity and solidary sense for a healthy competitiveness. We met and analyzed how to promote ourselves, how to generate business and to look for markets. We are capable of working jointly to fulfill our aims. We have a website, with the one we are showing ourselves the world with a bilingual version. We are initiating a new chapter: internationalizing our trade-union and opening a new chance for future businesswomen. Our associates work has a great value; this allows us to be in this seat of progress. I am grateful for them, because of their way of being and to the confidence that they have given me in my management. Each of them is a story that I invite you to know in the following pages. Carolina Arroyo Aparicio Mi Mundo Mágico de Muñecos Country Es egresada de la Escuela Derecho de la Universidad de Valparaíso, sin embargo, su vida laboral la orienta a las manifestaciones del arte como diseño, decoración, muñequería y pintura. Desde hace 15 años, confecciona Muñecos Country. En la actualidad, dicta talleres sobre esta técnica y el año 2013, crea en sociedad, la empresa de decoración, planificación de eventos, talleres de manualidad y compra y venta de artesanías, “Valparaíso 3 Art”. Diversos cursos y capacitaciones, además de fortalecer su don artístico, reconocido en exposiciones, le han permitido develar su carácter de liderazgo. Y, desde 2011, es presidenta de la Asociación Gremial de Mujeres Empresarias y Profesionales de Valparaíso, AGEP-V. Desde ahí, con su iniciativa y fuerte capacidad emprendedora, logra traspasar las fronteras, y proyecta un viaje comercial, junto a un grupo de socias, a Sausalito, Estados Unidos.

She studied law at the Universidad de Valparaíso (University of Valparaíso) however, her work experience is oriented to art manifestations such as design, decoration, doll-making and painting. For the past 15 years, she has made country dolls. At present she gives work-shops about this technique, and in 2013 she created, in association with others, a business called “Valparaíso 3 Art” dedicated to decoration, event planning, handicraft workshops and the buying and selling of handicrafts. By means of a series of courses and training, and strengthening her gifted sense of art, (which has been recognized in exhibitions), she has been able to develop her leadership capacity. Since 2011 she has been president of the Asociación Gremial de Mujeres Empresarias y Profesionales de Valparaiso, AGEP-V. (Women´s Business and Professional Trade Association of Valparaíso) Since then, and due to her great entrepreneurship, she was able to go beyond the border of her country and undertake a business trip along with a group of partners to Sausalito, United States.

Her natural artistic gift and personal option have made her a recognized specialist in floral arrangements. Enthusiastic and recognized for her style and dedication, she generates a growing acceptance and trust among her clients which also encourages her to grow. She applied for and received the “Fondo Capital Semilla del Servicio de Cooperación Tecnica”, SERCOTEC (Seed Capital Funding from the Technical Cooperation Service). Cristina Reynolds Hoerning Neoartesanía Educadora de Párvulos que desde hace 15 años, tomó como oficio la creación de objetos artísticos en vidrio, cerámica, cobre y textil. Fue dueña y directora del Jardín Infantil, “Kinder Art”; docente universitaria y cofundadora de una empresa de material didáctico, actividades que la marcaron en el trabajo artesanal que hoy realiza. En sus obras, que ejecuta a los pies de las montañas más preciosas de la región, en Olmué, conjuga, con calidez: la iluminación, la transparencia y los colores. Porque para ella, la iluminación, es la formación educativa; la transparencia, es la sinceridad en esa formación y los colores, son la naturaleza. Su atributo de educadora, también lo refleja en las clases en técnica de mosaico y crochet, que hoy imparte. Tanto su trabajo dedicado, como por su creatividad lúdica, buen trato y entrega en lo que hace, la hicieron incluirse en la AGEP-V.

Expone y vende sus obras en vitraux y mosaico, joyas y accesorios en cobre con inclusión de vitromosaico; como también sus chalecones infantiles tejidos a crochet y/o telar en su taller, página web, ferias y exposiciones. Imparte clases en las técnicas de mosaico y crochet en su taller. She exposes and sells her works in vitraux and mosaics, jewels and accessories in copper with incorporation of vitromosaics; also infantile long jackets woven by crochet and by loom, in her studio, webpage, craft fair and exhibitions. And gives classes in the techniques of mosaic and crochet in her studio.

She is a Day Care teacher who, for the past 15 years, has been practicing the trade of the creation of artistic objects in glass, ceramics, copper and textiles. She was the owner and director of the Jardín Infantil (Day Care school), “Kinder Art”; university professor and co-founder of a company of educational materials, activities that influenced her handcraft work that she does at present. In her works, which she carries out at the bottom of the most precious mountains of the region, in Olmué, she brings together, warmth, light, transparency and color. For her, light embodies educational formation; transparency symbolizes sincerity in this formation and color represents nature. Her ability for teaching is also present in the classes of the technology of mosaic and crochet, which she offers today. Her dedication to her work, her fun creativity, good attention to customers and commitment all made it possible for her to be included in the AGEP-V (Business and Professional Trade Association of Valparaíso). Susana Labra Reynolds IKTÁ El Salado Antes de egresar como Diseñadora Industrial (2002), tenía “Iktá”, empresa dedicada al diseño, producción y comercialización de objetos de decoración, cuyo material principal es el aluminio grabado mediante ácido.

Before graduating as an Industrial Designer (2002), she already owned “Iktá”, a company dedicated to the design, production and commercialization of articles of decoration, whose principal material is aluminum engraved with acid.

En el 2005, cofunda otra, dedicada a la fabricación de material didáctico. Y, en el 2007, inicia “El Salado”. empresa de diseño industrial orientada a la acuicultura.

In 2005, she co-founded another company, dedicated to making educational material. And, in 2007, she started “El Salado “, company of industrial design orientated to aquaculture.

Con “Iktá”, ha participado 8 veces en “Manos Maestras”, muestra artesanal de excelencia de la Región de Valparaíso y una micro exportación a España, EEUU, Italia y Corea.

Her company “Iktá” has participated eight times in “Manos Maestras” (Masters Hands), a handicraft fair of the Region of Valparaiso and in a micro exportation to Spain, the USA, Italy and Korea.

Con“El Salado”, obtiene capital para la producción industrial y prueba en terreno del primer producto, “Pluteus”, jaula para cultivar abalón en el mar; diseño patentado en Chile y EE.UU. El 2011, vende las primeras jaulas y participa en la Feria Acuícola Aquamar, en México.

With “El Salado”, she obtained the capital for the industrial production and testing of the first product, “Pluteus”, a cage to cultivate abalones in the sea; the design was patented in Chile and USA. In 2011, she sold the first cages and took part in the Feria Acuícola Acuamar (Aquicultural Aquamar Fair) in Mexico.

Ha asesorado a medianas y pequeñas empresas en el desarrollo de imagen y comunicaciones corporativas de empresas de Valparaíso y Santiago.

She has been a Graphic Designer since 1998. In her partnership company “Diseño Integrado”, (Integrated Design) she worked as art director, sales agent and managed projects. She has been a consultant for medium and small businesses in Valparaiso and Santiago in Image Development and Corporative Communications.

En 2009, amplía su interés por las potencialidades educativas online, al ser parte de un proyecto académico, como diseñadora de imaginería virtual, en modalidad e-learning, para la prestigiosa Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María.

Clara Tapia Espinoza ASYCAP Ltda. Ella tiene grado de Ingeniero Comercial de la Pontifica Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV), formaliza su emprendimiento en 1992, orientado a la asesoría y capacitación de empresas. Y, como Magíster en Dirección de Empresas de la PUCV, despliega una serie de emprendimientos caracterizándose en todos ellos, por su visión innovadora. Ximena Silva San Martín Gráfica en Valparaíso Esta Diseñadora Gráfica, egresada de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, ha logrado con su empresa, “Gráfica en Valparaíso”, cautivar la confianza de importantes clientes, gracias a la buena interpretación que hace de la imagen y comunicación que ellos requieren. Tanto por su creatividad como por su capacidad de observación, detectó la falta de información de calidad de Valparaíso, para lo cual diseñó y realizó la “Carta de Valparaíso”. Esta es una impresión completa, desplegante, con fotografías, recopilación histórica, información turística bilingüe y un plano completo de la ciudad. Su calidad hizo que se le solicitará una publicación similar de Viña del Mar, Antofagasta y Puchuncaví. Trabajos que son distribuidos y comercializados en librerías. Ha sido merecedora de los Fondos Capital Semilla y Capital Abeja, ambos del Servicio de Cooperación Técnica, SERCOTEC.

Se dedica a resolver las necesidades de comunicación y difusión de los clientes en forma integral: medios impresos, digitales, videos. She works solving in integral form the client’s communication and diffusion needs: by printed digital and video means.

En el 2004, se involucra totalmente con esa actividad, creando Enjoy & Travel, agencia de turismo receptivo. En este desafío, ha volcado todo su esfuerzo, porque es una actividad que calza con su personalidad activa, alegre y comunicativa y su interés por compartir con personas de otras culturas. Enjoy & Travel , orientado al turismo receptivo y transporte de pasajero, hace circuitos por la Región de Valparaíso, con turistas extranjeros que visitan Viña del Mar y Valparaíso, que buscan los lugares más típicos y pintorescos de la zona, los viñedos de Casablanca, museos del poeta Pablo Neruda, cerros. Ofreciendo, además, transfer al Aeropuerto Internacional de Santiago.

She was employed at the Deputy Secretary´s of Fishing Office for ten years. In 1991 she left this job and established “Insis Computación”, a business dedicated to computer science. In the last years of this activity she felt attracted to the world of tourism. In 2004, she became totally involved in this activity, creating Enjoy & Travel, an incoming tourist agency. She has put all her effort into this challenge because it is an activity that fits in well with her activates, happy and communicative personality and she enjoys sharing with people of other cultures. María Antonieta Allamand Arancibia Hostal Magnolio Una empresaria turística que inició su vida laboral, como educadora básica pasando a la gerontología, con un Magíster y con varios cargos en el área. Sin embargo, el haber vivido en Argentina y en España (Islas Canarias), le enseñó la importancia que tiene el turismo, despertándole su interés por esta actividad y estimulando su condición de empresaria, heredada de su padre. Al regresar a su país, no duda en ejercer este quehacer. y emprendió en el área del turismo con un hostal. La ubicación de su casa se prestaba para ello. Viña del Mar, al lado del mar, cerca del Casino y a pasos de la playa. Pero, su pujanza fue puesta a prueba. El terremoto, que asoló a gran parte del país a comienzos del 2010, también afectó su proyecto. No se amedrentó, y sin darse tiempo a lamentaciones, reinicia su emprendimiento. She is a touristic businesswoman who began her work life as an elementary teacher and then changed her career path to gerontology, and worked in different positions in this area. However, after living in Argentina and Spain she learnt about the importance tourism has in the business world. Thus, she developed a deep interest in this activity by stimulating her ability for doing business, something she inhereted from her father. Once she returned to her country, she did not hesitate and began her own touristic business by opening a cozy Hostal, it feels like a guset house to stay there. Its location was perfect for this sort of business since it was located in Viña del Mar, next to the sea, the Casino and just a few blocks from the beach. Despite all the positive aspects of this business venture, she was soon put to a trial when in February 2010 Chile was severely beaten by an earthquake, which devastated great part of the country and region where the Hostal is. This situation had some negative effects on her project, but she did not give up, on the contrary, she started rebuilding her business without delays or sorrows. Violeta Núñez Núñez Violeta Núñez Comenzó hace 17 años una actividad poco común. Estaba ampliando un mercado emergente: buscar alojamiento a estudiantes extranjeros. La Región de Valparaíso, tiene una alta población universitaria, y mucha de ella, proviene del extranjero. Por lo que enfoca su trabajo a estudiantes y profesionales provenientes de diferentes partes del mundo, buscándoles el hospedaje adecuado. Con el objeto de brindar un servicio de calidad, visita a la familia contactada, la entrevista, completa un formulario y revisa la casa. Una vez aprobada, vela por la estadía del estudiante en el hogar seleccionado. A la fecha, tiene sobre 250 familias dispuestas a recibir a estos estudiantes. Esta iniciativa no sólo genera ingresos a las familias anfitrionas chilenas, sino que también les permite experimentar una cultura diferente y aprender de ella en sus propios hogares. Violeta también posee un libro de registro de residenciales pensiones y departamentos para estudiantes internacionales que desean más independencia. Su trabajo ha sido reconocido por Directores de Programas de Estudios Internacionales.

She began an uncommon activity 17 years ago. She was extending an emergent market: to look for accommodation for foreign students. The Valparaiso Region has a numerous university student population, and a large part of this population comes from abroad. Taking this into account she focused her work towards students and professionals from different parts of the world, looking for suitable accommodation for them. In order to give an outstanding service, she visits the contacted families; she interviews them, completes a form and checks over the house. Once approved, she keeps watch over the student´s stay in the selected home. At present she has over 250 families ready to receive international students. This initiative generates not only incomes to Chilean host families but it also allows them to experience a different culture and learn from it in their own homes. Violeta also possesses a record book of guest houses, rooming houses, and apartments for international students who want more independence. Her work has been recognized by Directors of International Studies Programs.

María Luisa Rubio Girasoles y Giralunas Es una artista que expresa su sensibilidad como escritora, poeta, realizadora audiovisual y artesana. Es una artista integral. Su formación en la Escuela de Bellas Artes, su Licenciatura en Música, y sus estudios de dirección de producción y Dirección de Televisión y Video, la definen como una buscadora incansable de neo formas de creación e incursión en diferentes disciplinas del arte.

Esa búsqueda, la ha llevado a plasmar su creatividad en trabajos manuales, en cuyas creaciones aplica diversas habilidades. Tal es, que su artesanía está en materiales y expresiones variadas, como: vitraux, tiffany, mosaico, maderas certificadas, vitrofusión, cerámica, metales y muñecos country en tela. A través de su empresa “Girasoles y Giralunas”, que además de ofrecer videos turísticos, están los souvenirs y artesanías, que tienen, además, una singular expresión: proyecta la ciudad de Viña del Mar.

Her education at the “Escuela de Bellas Artes” (Art School), her Bachelor degree in Music, and her studies of production and direction of television and video define her as a tireless searcher of new forms of creation and incursion in different disciplines of art. This search has led her to express her creativity in handicrafts and in her works she applies different skills. In her handicrafts we can find materials and a variety of expressions such as vitraux, tiffany, mosaic, certified wood, stained glass, ceramics, metals and country dolls made of fabric. Her company “Girasoles y Giralunas” (Sunflowers and Moonflowers) offers tourism videos, souvenirs and crafts which hold, in addition, a singular expression: they show the city of Viña del Mar.
