Day and night begin Genesis 1-3

Before there were butterflies, trees, or water, God created the universe and placed the sun in the sky to light up our days.

6

God filled the earth with all kinds of animals, from shy zebras to sneaky foxes, and from colorful parrots to spotted cheetahs. Next He created people, a man and a woman, so they could enjoy life with Him. God liked everything He had made very much!

9

“You may eat the fruits from all the trees except one, God said. But one day, a snake tricked Adam and Eve into eating the forbidden fruit. Adam and Eve had sinned against God and could no longer live in the garden with Him.

10

Saved from the rain in a boat Genesis 6:5-8:22

Sadly, people started to forget about God and just wanted to live their lives on their own, without His love. As the years passed, the world grew cruel. This made God very, very sad.

13

But Noah loved God, and God loved Noah. “Noah,” said God one day, “I will send a flood to wipe out evil. But I will save you and your family.”

14

Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. “God told me to build a huge boat because a heavy rain will come,” Noah said. “Thanks for helping me build it!”

17

Finally the boat was finished! Then Noah gathered the animals. “Make sure you get two of each kind! Don’t leave any out,” God said.
