UNFORGETTABLE ALPINE MOMENTS

The ultimate kick or relaxation – the Montafon in Austrian Vorarlberg has the perfect offer for everyone.

The Silvretta with its 3,000 metres peaks, picturesque mountain lakes and idyllic green meadows – “The tourist offer here in the Montafon is really wide. Now in the summer season there is climbing, mountain biking, hiking, mountaineering, golfing and much more on all levels of difficulty,” says Dominic Pithan, head of marketing of the Löwen Hotel in Schruns.

Families in particular are thrilled by the forest slide park, the summer toboggan run, the high ropes course and other attractions. In winter, guests are attracted by perfectly groomed slopes, cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs or snow shoe tours. “We are,” offers Pithan,

“also a partner of the BergePLUS Programm which provides adults, families and children with great experiences in the great outdoors every day. In summer, for example, there is a supervised programme for our youngest guests or relaxed bike tours and challenging climbing and mountaineering tours.”

Located in the centre of Schruns and within walking distance from the train station, the Löwen Hotel is the perfect base for holidays in the Montafon.

Using wood, stone or glass, designers have created rooms in the Löwen Hotel, which with their warm colours remind of a typical Montafon chalet. Special luxury is offered by the newly built, generously sized superior and deluxe rooms or the unique suites with freestanding bathtubs and unobstructed views of the Montafon mountains.

What else can guests expect apart from this homely living ambiance? “There is, of course, our highly motivated team that moves heaven and earth to fulfil our guests’ wishes,” stresses Pithan. “And then there is our hotel. After a fulfilling day, for example, our 3,000-square-metre-large Löwen-SPA is exactly the right place to relax. The outdoor pool, the varied sauna landscape, relax rooms with waterbeds, massages, beauty treatments etc., are always worth a visit.”

And there are the hotel’s restaurants where chef Thomas Carvalho de Sousa and his highly professional team cater for culinary variety. The gourmet restaurant Löwen Stube, which has been awarded three Gault Millau toques, spoils its guests with regional and seasonal dishes, while Brasserie Leonies delights the senses with international cuisine with a regional twist. The Löwen Restaurant finally offers an exquisite breakfast buffet, selected afternoon snacks and tasty six-course menus. And after dinner? “There is the legendary Löwengrube, our very own club. Its relaxed ambiance and great live programme is just perfect to end a wonderful day in style.” www.loewen-hotel.com/en
