Beauxwright and Copper Builders announce co-location at 1900 W. Morehead FreeMoreWest Office Development Emerging as “One-Stop Real Estate Hub” Beauxwright, LLC, and Copper Builders have announced that they are adding “co-location” to their successful professional relationship. Copper Builders has moved its corporate headquarters from the SouthPark area to 1900 W Morehead, the office building developed and occupied by Beauxwright with architecture partner BB+M. The 36,000 SF structure opened in 2022 on the site of a former 1950s-era office building on West Morehead Street, in Charlotte’s rapidly growing FreeMoreWest area. 1900 W Morehead is home to two floors of creative, modern office suites. The Beauxwright and BB+M offices occupy the second floor, which includes a large terrace for use by all tenants, offering unobstructed views of the Uptown skyline. With the addition of Copper Builders, 1900 W Morehead is emerging as a hub for leading companies in Charlotte’s architecture, home building and real
estate development sectors. “It’s exciting to welcome Copper Builders to our building and neighborhood,” says Andy Lucas, principal at Beauxwright. “It means we can further strengthen our collaboration with a trusted partner who will now be just a few steps away.” Wade Miller, founder of Copper Builders, says his firm’s recent growth sparked the search for new headquarters. “Once we learned about 1900, we signed a lease practically the next day,” he explains. “We were really drawn to this beautiful space, and the view of the city might be the best we’ve ever seen. We now have room to accommodate our expanding team. But more importantly, the high quality and synergistic relationships between Beauxwright, BB+M and the other tenants are going to make this a powerhouse for real estate projects in the Carolinas. We have a cool one-stop shop built out with great partners who are some of the best in the industry, and also really fun to be around.”
Miller stresses that the combination is hard to find elsewhere in Charlotte. “It’s about location, functionality and proximity to the city and nearby industry landmarks,” he says. “Optimal meeting spaces and conference rooms were worked into our design, plus we’ve got some unique amenities going into our new offices, like a wet bar and dining area.” He adds that Copper Builders and Beauxwright always thrive in a collaborative environment when they join forces to plan and execute their developments.
