T
he new Kartrite Hotel and Indoor Waterpark is quickly rising out of the ground on the Resorts World Catskills campus, a little more than a stone’s throw away from the blackjack tables and roulette wheels of the world-famous casino. “The Kartrite project is a continuation of the momentum accelerated by the Resorts World project to the economic resurgence of The Sullivan Catskills.” Sullivan County Partnership President and CEO Marc Baez said. “The casino legislation is accomplishing exactly what it was intended to do in Sullivan County. Much of the wall construction is already in place. With an anticipated grand opening in nearly a year, the waterpark contractors are working hard to make it a reality. Located in Monticello, the Kartrite will
feature two acres of exhilarating fourseason indoor waterpark space and a luxury hotel with 324 exquisitely designed guest suites. The new project is owned by Ken Ellis and Arthur Berry III, co-owners of the Poconos’ premier adventure destination, Camelback Resort.
Ellis and Berry are recognized nationally as the innovators behind the awarewinning Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark located in Tannersville, Pa. Their newest development in Monticello will allow them to raise the bar for family friendly adventure once again.
