he Audubon and Friends Too 2015 art exhibition will be flying in to the Catskill Art Society (CAS) in Livingston Manor, NY for its biennial show August 8-23. An Artist Talk will be held at CAS at 2 p.m. on the 8th followed by a reception at 3 p.m. Featured works are inspired by birds and wildlife from backyards and travels by artists, photographers and sculptors from the Sullivan County and National Audubon societies, Artists for Conservation, Nature Conservancy, Mearns Bird Club and the Bashakill Association. A brief commentary on one of the works will be included by each artist. Award-winning artists include David Kiehm (BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2013), Ron Orlando (Grand prize-winner Arts for the Parks) and regional/national award-winner Bob Ripley, 2014 exhibitor in the Adirondacks. One last entry we can’t forget – The Young Birders Club of New York State has agreed to join this wonderful group of bird, butterfly and wildlife interpreters. Come see us before we take off again! DeFilippis Italian Bakery and Café has been open for just a year, but it draws on 28 years of creativity and experience in all things delicious, courtesy of the longtime commercial bakery just beyond the café’s service doors. That’s where Carmela can be found whipping up her salads and cheeses, pas-

sally on in to the fair! he Callicoon Business Association is pleased to announce the Callicoon Street Fair will this year become the newly branded Callicoon Country Fair! The Callicoon Country Fair will take place on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. A tradition for over 30 years, the Fair will be a townwide event on Upper and Lower Main Streets, as well as in Callicoon Creek Park. Vendor spaces will be intermingled with musical and dance performances. Local farms, artisans and their wares will be highlighted. Callicoon’s historic Main Street will also be decorated with American buntings and accents! Over 50 vendors will be in Callicoon for the daylong fair, the highlight of the Season. The Sullivan County Dairy Princess will be in attendance, while games, face-painting and other amusements will entertain kids of all ages. Get your photo taken as a souvenir at the photo booth and Selfie station! Local 4-H groups, such as Kays Farm and Small Town Country 4-H, will bring their cows, alpacas, angora rabbits and more and conduct hands-on demonstra-

tions and crafts, as well as selling products. The Wild West Arts Show will have trickroping, target whips and crowd participation for cowgirls and cowboys! Live music will include The Crackers, Contra band, Poison Love with caller Laurie B., Shlomo Franklin Band, Richard Traviss, The Hippy Nuts, Dan Kilian and the Million Man Band, Crier Brothers and more. The Catskill Dance Company will perform an excerpt from the modern ballet "Rodeo" with a score by American composer Aaron Copland. There are three “official” venues as part of the Fair: The Riverfront Stage in Callicoon Creek Park, the Railway Stage & The Western Hotel Terrace. The Micro Brew tent in the park will feature the region’s best microbrewed beers and the Catskill Distilling Company of nearby Bethel. Callicoon Country Fair also falls on National Cowboy Day, so don’t forget to wear your cowboy hat!
