Wine isn’t like other drinks. You can serve a good apple juice anywhere from 0 degrees to a lunchboxfriendly 35. And Ribena can even be warmed up! But serve your guests a wine that’s too warm or too cold and you might as well be dishing out canapés on a hubcap. You see, there are subtleties to wine – too warm and the alcohol will dominate the flavour, too cold and there may be no flavour at all. It’s a dilemma. But we’ve found a nifty way around it. Super Summer It’s a Super Summer this July with 2 of the years most anticipated releases hitting our screens. The Amazing Spider Man has been entirely remade, with none of the original cast from the trilogy. We’re expecting a great performance from Andrew Garfield who plays Spiderman in the new story. Christian Bale returns as batman in the final part of Christopher Nolan’s phenomenally successful trilogy. The Dark Knight Rises is rumored to be
even better than the original 2 films and Tom Hardy’s performance as Arch Nemesis Bane will surely be one to remember! The Amazing Spider Man (12A) hits screens across the UK on Tuesday 3rd July 2012 whilst Batman: The Dark Knight Rises screens later in the month on Friday 20th July. See them both at Showcase Cinema Bluewater

currently making headline news with the help of Mary Portas and her mission to save the ‘high street’. Epping High Street so far has managed to weather the UK’s economic climate with the support of their loyal customers. Food offerings include a Medieval Menu at one of the eateries, a barbecue featuring ‘Epping’s Famous Sausages’ and other delicious street food. The day is being held in conjunction with the Epping Society who celebrate their 40th anniversary this year.

Headlines from this month’s Essex news Homecoming for mark wright & Entourage
Back from their US adventure after finishing filming Mark Wright’s Hollywood Nights, Mark and all the “Boys” were happy to be back home in their favourite place, Essex. They celebrated their home coming with friends and family at “Seasons Fine Dining” in Woodford Green. Mark was full of optimism

The Whipps Cross University Hospital in Leytonstone delivers thousands of babies every year. One born in 1975 went on to become an internationally renowned footballer and perhaps the most famous man in the world.

D
avid Robert Joseph Beckham was born on Friday the 2nd of May to local couple Ted and Sandra. Growing up in nearby Chingford, this born and bred East London lad has gone on to become the quintessential English icon, having represented his country on the international stage over a hundred times. He’s played for some of the most famous football clubs in the world and his face and name are recognised across the globe, equally familiar as any of the most renowned corporate brands. So how did this Leytonstone lad do it? Beckham’s love of football was imprinted on him from an early age. Despite amidst a sea of Arsenal and Tottenham fans, his parents were die hard Manchester United fanatics, frequently making the trip up Old Trafford for home matches. Predictably, his parents’ fervour for his future club rubbed off somewhat on young David and it soon became apparent that his life’s goal would be to play for the Manchester team. David’s father especially was a massive influence on his early footballing career, coaching him in his first team, Ridgeway Rovers and drilling him tirelessly in relentless back garden practise sessions. David showed immense skill and promise from the get go, having won the Bobby Charlton Soccer Skills award at only 11 years old. Following this, his talent did not go unnoticed for long and after trials at local club Leyton Orient, as well as Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur, he eventually signed as a trainee at his beloved Manchester United in 1991. Sir Alex Ferguson saw great things in Beckham and, along with Nicky Butt and the brothers Phil and Gary Neville, he soon became known as one of ‘Fergie’s Fledglings’. Quickly growing in skill and success, his place in the first team was rapidly cemented and at the beginning of the 1997-98 season SCENE 19
he was bestowed the coveted number seven shirt, previously worn by past United legends like Eric Cantona and George Best. Arguably one of United’s best ever players, his career at the club included six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, one European Cup, one Intercontinental Cup and one FA Youth Cup. He was also instrumental in their 1999 success when they became the first and only team to ever win the illusive English treble. During his career at United he also met his wife Victoria Adams - Posh of the Spice Girls at the time. Their star studded coupling, along with the birth of Brooklyn – the first of their 4 children – and subsequent marriage, propelled the pair to international media prominence, creating the ‘Posh and Becks’ brand that continues to dominate the advertising industry today. Unfortunately, it was a combination of this relationship and his subsequent new found fame that eventually led to his much publicised fall out with his former mentor, Sir Alex and he left Manchester for Real Madrid in 2003. Despite joining the Spanish giants in turbulent times for club and player alike, David managed to secure the La Liga title with Real in 2007, departing for American team LA Galaxy at the end of the season. Having been twice loaned to A.C.Milan, David recently became a regular in the Major League Soccer club’s first team and has gone on to help them secure four major titles. With his contract expiring this year, it’s rumoured that Beckham will continue his career at French club, Paris Saint-Germain, but a return to the Premier League has not necessarily been ruled out.
Beckham’s mastery in the art of football is irrefutable. A pioneer in striking the ball, he has drilled himself relentlessly throughout his career, resulting in hundreds of outstanding goals – the most memorable one being a spectacular soaring shot from the halfway line during his time at United. But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing on Beckham’s path to stardom. Despite his prowess as a sportsman, it could be argued that his reputation has burgeoned just as much through his infamy, a certain red card at the 1998 World Cup finals springing to mind. Either way, nobody can deny that Beckham has made the best out of every situation, confirming the old adage that ‘no press is bad press’. In terms of his personal life, David and Victoria are still happily married and now have 3 more children: Romeo, Cruz and their first daughter, Harper. The fact that the couple have maintained their relationship – despite being the victims of various adultery claims and immense media pressure – is testament to their joint and personal resilience. It’s no wonder, then, that they remain one the world’s most celebrated couples. Along with his fame, Beckham’s striking good looks and gentlemanly manner make him the perfect sponsor, so it’s no surprise that the U.K. has adopted him as our frontman for London 2012. His last appearance in International football was way back in 2009, but despite being left out of Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2012 squad, he will be representing Team GB this month in the first united British side to compete at the Olympics since 1960. David Beckham is a true legend of English sport. Here’s wishing him and the rest of the team the greatest success for the Games.

Print?
See yourself in By Maddy McIndoe
Print trends this season have an ethnic edge. Tribal, animal and Aztec influences are awash over everything from suit jackets to bangles. Organic browns, deep reds and earth tones are the most popular colours, although brights have their place too. Washed-out palettes tone down all-over prints on jeans and tailored trousers. Placement prints in bold colours command slouchy t-shirts in neutral base colours. Textured fabrics such as chiffon and crepe manipulate the reflection of light in different forms on surface pattern, and prints come in a range of scales to suit all body shapes. River Island’s bold, directional SS12 collection includes these printed Rihanna Suit Trousers. The colour contrast creates a vertical, striped effect, perfect for lengthening legs. Those brave enough could opt for the matching blazer available too. Printed-silk harem trousers look fresh off the plane from a

far-flung paradise, and abstract animal prints are framed with contrast black edging on blouses. Leopard print has been given a classy makeover by Hobbs in the form of this shirt. The painterly style gives a fresh edge to an old favourite. However, this season, it appears to be snakeskin that has grabbed everyone’s attention. No longer the sole domain of Kat Slater, snakeskin was seen on the London Fashion Week catwalks from Versace to House of Holland. These spray-on skinny jeans are for either the very brave or the very thin. A snakeskin-effect clutch bag is a safer option if, like me, you are not blessed with the legs of Gisele.

Achieve a beautiful body with Hypoxi Even with exercise and intense diet, a beautiful figure cannot always be achieved. This is because your body only burns fat which it can easily access and not in areas where circulation is poor. Diet and exercise do not always combat cellulite either. In order to shape your figure and smooth your skin, problematic areas of your body need to be targeted. This is exactly how Hypoxi therapy works – it concentrates on your problem areas during an easy cardio training programme. Hypoxi therapy has been consistently shown to yield amazing results after just a few sessions.
Word is quickly spreading about Hypoxi, and its owner Sylwia Pajor. Having run a successful programme for ITV’s This Morning, she recently appeared on The Only Way is Essex. Celebrities worldwide swear by the brand too. So if you’re thinking about a new approach to reach your goal, there are few that are likely to be as effective as Hypoxi.
Hypoxi Studio, located in South Woodford offers specialised body shaping, cellulite and weight loss treatments. Using one of three specialised machines designed to act on the stubborn areas on the stomach and/or the bottom and thighs, it offers an effective and quick way to lose the lumps and bumps that you want to disappear. Beauty S py Coax Med Cellulite-Busting And Skin Tightening Treatment At Pure Medi-Spa
Approximately 80 per cent of women have some degree of cellulite, a result of concentrated fat cells that leave a rippling effect on the skin. It is typically most pronounced around the thighs, hips and buttocks. Coax Med is used for fat dissolving and cellulite treatments. By using radiofrequency and ultrasound waves, the appearance of cellulite is reduced and problem areas are re-contoured and become smoother. The radiofrequency also causes a mild contraction that visibly lifts and firms the area. Many women find Coax Med to be a viable alternative to liposuction as a means of contouring upper thighs, buttocks, bingo wings and “mummy tummy”. My therapist asked me which areas I wanted treated: my thighs. A cream was applied to my skin to enable the hand piece to move easily over my thighs. The therapist passed the Coax CRF hand piece over the area which was repeated a number

Summer’s here and it is time to slick on that gloss and smile! Unfortunately for some it is easier than others.
Those whose lips are not so well endowed can feel rather self-conscious about smiling as they realise their top lip often disappears. As we age our lips become thinner and lines begin appearing around the mouth. All this happens as we start to lose collagen in these areas and this can be caused by many factors including smoking and sun damage. Many of you reading this may be thinking of Leslie Ash or Pete Burns as bad examples, however lip fillers are rarely so extreme and with the new ‘no pain’ Restylane there is much less risk of swelling and a much smoother natural look can be achieved. This eliminates the whispers of duck lips or trout pout but rather echoes of poutilicious and kissable. With the procedure now taking less than 15 minutes it really can be done simply and quickly in the lunch hour. After many years of perfecting the skill, PURE Medi-Spa calls it the PURE POUT. Dr Shazia Siddiqi commented: ‘Our techniques ensure no one will even see where a needle has been put in, and with many of Essex’s most famous and finest walking through our doors regularly, you know you are in safe hands.’ For those looking to go that one step further why not get your teeth whitened as well to complete the perfect smile. Only one sitting is needed and no abrasive treatments are used; whiten those teeth and start smiling again! Legal eagles spread their wings Essex & Herts firms merge to extend coverage
Businesses and individuals across Hertfordshire, Essex and outer London can look forward to accessing more legal services at more locations following the merger of two long-established solicitors, Essex-based Attwaters and Herts firm Jameson & Hill. The combined firm, to be known as Attwaters Jameson Hill, will continue to deliver exceptional client care whilst offering a wider range of services from its offices in Hertford, Ware, Harlow and Loughton. “Our two firms had accumulated over 140 years in legal practice,” explains partner Joyti Henchie. “Neither wanted to rest on its laurels in a changing legal environment that demands specialist knowledge and expertise right across the spectrum.
“From our earliest merger discussions, it was clear that we shared the same values, philosophy and traditional high standards. Both firms felt the desire to grow, to progress and to provide the fullest possible range of services to clients.” As well as frequently-used legal services such as conveyancing, Will drafting, family and commercial, each firm had developed its own specialisms, including town & country planning, personal injury and medical negligence work. Most clients will probably continue using their existing office but they may arrange to see their usual solicitor at any of the four Attwaters Jameson Hill locations. Postal addresses and phone numbers for the 14 partners and supporting teams are unchanged. Whilst the combined firm inherits a substantial and valued client base, it has ample capacity to welcome new commercial and private clients.

Volti Noti
Words by Jo Fraser
Volti Noti Italian Restaurant is the latest addition to entertainment giant City Pavilion in Collier Row. The venue also houses two impressive function suites, Rollerbowl - a 34 lane bowling alley complete with its own bar and diner and Panna’s Asian Restaurant and bar. Volti Noti opened at the start of 2012, transforming the old Enigma Bar into a striking 200 seat restaurant, available for all-day dining every day of the week. The interior of the restaurant is themed in homage to Italian personalities past and present from actors to politicians, sports stars to fashion icons with its printed chairs with Italian “Famous Faces” as per its name’s English translation. The elegant dining room is large and brightly lit, unique in its design with its fun and stylish printed white chairs and funky shade less bulbs hanging in groups from the ceiling. There’s an open kitchen too so diners can watch the food creation as it happens. The cutting-edge design of the restaurant wouldn’t look out of place in one of London’s top hotel destinations. My guest and I dined on a Thursday evening and were shown to a large table, easily ample for four diners, towards the window. I opted for a glass of robust Primitivo red wine, whilst my driving guest had a Sicilian
lemonade, which tasted exactly as it should of freshly squeezed lemons; sharp and zingy. The menu is straightforward in its offering of Italian staples; however, what is unexpected is the flavour combinations and twists on the traditional. Starters on offer include a decent selection of homemade toasted Garlic Bread and Bruschetta with a variety of toppings including prawns, speck and scarmoza cheese and prosciutto and mozzarella. The menu throughout is split into vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, offering something for everyone. We opted for a Mixed Antipasto selection, comprising peppers, aubergine, olives, artichoke, sliced prosciutto, salami, speck and pepperoni, all served simply on a bed of lettuce with parmesan shavings. Alongside this we went for the Bruschetta topped with prosciutto and mozzarella which was served warm, with the melted
cheese and ham flavour working well together. The main course selection is simple and concise, offering a number of pizzas, pastas and risottos. There are also a few salads to choose from for the non-carb eaters. As with the starters, all dishes are split into vegetarian and nonvegetarian options. Amongst the more well-known pizzas such as Margherita and Napoletana, there are interesting and unusual choices including a few with an Indian twist! It’s a fun selection – “Indian Chicken, Italian Way” features onions and chillies with chicken tikka and tandoori marinade and the “White Lady Pizza” features chicken, wild mushroom and cream béchamel sauce. Volti Noti’s menu encourages diners to “give in to the hidden chef in you” by combining toppings of your choice to create the perfect pizza for you. The pasta and risotto selection showcases more traditional flavour combinations; Bolognese, SCENE 39
Carbonara and Pesto sauces all feature as well as seafood options. Diners are able to choose their pasta of choice from spaghetti, penne, fusilli, tortellini, fettuccini and ravioli and can also create their own flavour combinations, again encouraged to bring out the hidden chef within! My guest and I both chose Italian thin crust pizzas (deep pan is available too). I went for the “Pizza Parma” with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, rocket and fresh tomatoes whist my guest had the “Spinacci” with baby Spinach, onions, chillies, mozzarella and tomatoes. They were cooked to perfection in the open kitchen and arrived at the table looking mouthwatering and fresh. The pizzas tasted as good as they looked and the chilli oil I requested deserves a mention as it delivered a perfect kick of chilli heat to my meal. The side salad was simple in its presentation of iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber. I’d be inclined to opt for the Caprese or toasted pine nut, spinach and goats cheese salad on a future visit, for something with a bit more flavour. The dessert list is indulgent, with Italian favourites featuring including a Layered Tiramisu and Chocolate Pannacotta. The Pizza Nutella sounded particularly enticing, but after a pizza main course, we unfortunately couldn’t eat another thing, so opted instead for coffee to round off our meal. Volti Noti made for an enjoyable meal in an upmarket setting. Freshly cooked pizzas and pastas with a few flavour twists are the main focus here. It is very reasonably priced too, with pizzas ranging from £5.95 to only £7.95 so it’s great for a family meal or those looking for good value, simply cooked food in nice surroundings. With a private room for up to 80 people, there is ample space to accommodate birthday parties or corporate diners at Volti Noti too. Property SCENE with Hayley Hunt
T
here’s more to being an estate agent than simply sticking a ‘for sale’ sign on a property, crossing one’s fingers and hoping a suitable buyer comes along. Knowing how best to present someone’s home to a prospective purchaser is, of course, a prerequisite when handling a sale, as is an appreciation of the ins and outs of conveyancing, structural surveys, mortgages, the whole legal process and so on. But the real art of being a successful estate agent lies in having a deep understanding of the marketplace - national and local - as well as the ability to match buyer and seller, without wasting the time or creating false hopes, of either. Easy, of course, to promise and under deliver. To raise expectations with unrealistic valuations, simply to win the business from a rival agent. Easy, too, to produce a queue of ‘tyre kickers’, who meet some spurious viewing schedule, but fail to generate a single decent offer. The real art of home selling is in listening to both parties, forming a deep appreciation of their needs and carefully matching the two. Far better to have one pre-qualified, serious buyer than a line of serial house viewers who regard the whole thing as an interesting way of spending their leisure time. As is the case in so many other fields, it’s all in the preparation. Add the right ingredients together – well-presented home, carefully targeted and pre-qualified buyer, close attention to the legals, mixed with the right choice of agent – and chances are you’ll end up with a tasty outcome. House prices show ‘first annual rise for 13 months House prices have risen on an annual basis for the first time in 13 months, according to LSL Property Services. Prices rose by 0.5% in May compared to the previous month, and by 1.9% on an annual basis, the group said, whose index is produced by one of the biggest residential property groups in the country. Annual price growth returned to Wales (up by 1.1% annually) and the east Midlands (0.8%), and the rate of decline reduced in a further seven areas. In London, where prices have continued rising despite the slump in the rest of England and Wales, prices rose by 2.4% on an annual basis. LSL also reported the number of house sales rose to 60,000 in May, up from about 45,000 in April, indicating that a slump caused by a rush of firsttime buyers to complete purchases before the end of the stamp duty concession in March, is now over. However, estate agents should not start celebrating the rise in transactions just yet. A spokesperson said: “We estimate that transactions in May for England and Wales, on a non-seasonally adjusted basis, totalled 60,000 properties. This estimated figure for May 2012 represents 67% of the longterm average for the month of May, calculated over the period 1995-2011.”

Get Aggressive with Koenigsegg Agera R
In 1994, Christian von Koenigsegg captivated the automotive world when he penned the original Koenigsegg Competition Coupe (CC). Four car generations later, the Agera is born.
The name Agera means “to take action” in Swedish and is short for the ancient Greek word ageratos (ageless) – two meanings quite suitable for a vehicle that shatters industry benchmarks and lays the foundation for Koenigsegg’s future. A bespoke, 1,140 hp Koenigsegg DOHC bi-turbo V8 propels the newest iteration of the iconic Koenigsegg design into action. Sixty miles per hour passes in a scant three seconds as the Agera races towards a 273 mph speed ceiling. With a list of patents and industry firsts, the Agera as a whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts. It is designed and engineered for trendsetters yearning for perfection, exclusivity, and an uncompromised driving experience. Over 17 years of computational fluid dynamics and real wind tunnel testing evolved the original Koenigsegg CC into the Agera. It features a refined profile and several new features to improve the aerodynamic capability at all speeds. Genetically dissimilar from the rest of the automotive world, the 46 SCENE
Agera truly stands out. Patents and countless bespoke programs, methods, and technologies protect it as a unique masterpiece. In a world of cross pollination between vehicle manufacturers, Koenigsegg’s engineers rebel by developing the Agera’s systems internally to preserve technological integrity and superiority. From the bespoke 1,140 hp powerplant to the world’s quickest traction control system, each component is designed and qualified in Ängelholm, Sweden. For those who truly appreciate the dedication of an automotive masterpiece that perfectly combines technology & design into the most exhilarating driving experience available today, the Koenigsegg Agera is their choice. Seven stages of production occur over three months at the production facility in Ängelholm. Just a few pair of hands – belonging to specialized automotive artisans - spend 3000 hours to bring each Agera to life. Meticulous attention to detail ensures that over 4000 custom parts come together in a perfect
harmony of high tech and classical craftsmanship. Over the past 17 years Koenigsegg has become an instantly identifiable icon synonymous with style, performance, and exclusivity. The Agera honors its predecessors and stays true to Swedish functionalist design. By strictly adhering to the minimalistic “less is more” philosophy Christian von Koenigsegg ensured the Agera to be purposefully beautiful. The Agera is the perfect representation of modern advances in aerodynamics merged seamlessly with contemporary aesthetics. The stiffest production car chassis on the planet allows the Agera to be versatile without compromise. Its one-piece carbon fiber roof quickly stows under the bonnet to reveal a roadster. No other Hypercar carries its hardtop while in roadster form. The awe-inspiring, elegantly smooth movement of the Dihedral Synchrohelix doors defies convention. Following Koenigsegg’s functional design mantra, this trademark feature has minimal door swing with
a more spacious opening. Koenigsegg is the only limited volume manufacturer to develop its powertrain in-house.
The Agera’s class leading fuel consumption of around 20 mpg and 80 litres (21 gallons) fuel tank provide excellent range.
The Agera’s heart is a bi-turbo DOHC 8 cylinder engine producing over one thousand one hundred horsepower. A symphony of innovative technology transfers the tremendous power to the road, yielding the world’s fastest accelerating production car.
Large air-to-air intercoolers keep the Agera cool even during extended performance driving, and by eliminating the need for water in the intercooling system, saving a significant amount of weight.
The Agera R’s colossal 1,140 horsepower and earth moving 1200 Nm (855 lb-ft) of torque launch it to 60 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds. 0 - 200 mph takes 17.68 seconds and 0 – 300 km/h a mere 14.53 seconds, both are world records. Contrary to common sense, no other production engine in the world offers the same power compared to emissions or fuel consumption. Koenigsegg’s highly qualified engineering team relentlessly developed the Agera’s engine for power, drivability, and longevity. Each engine is hand assembled in Ängelholm by a master engine builder to ensure exact tolerances and unprecedented quality. The Agera engine package is the lightest, most compact Hypercar engine in the world. Complete with clutch, flywheel, dry sump system, and Inconel manifold system (with turbos) it weighs less than 200 kg (440 lbs).
Koenigsegg’s patent pending response/backpressure reduction system and the latest generation turbocharging technology provide instantaneous turbo response for seamless power delivery. Koenigsegg’s dry sump lubrication system provides a constant supply of oil during high lateral g-force cornering. The Agera’s unique carbon fiber monocoque chassis is designed to achieve maximum stiffness of 65,000 newton meters per degree with or without its roof. It weighs only 70 kg with its integrated fuel tanks. Formula 1 carbon fiber monocoques are constructed with aluminum honeycomb to achieve high stiffness and safety levels. The Agera is the only Hypercar in the world to utilize aluminum honeycomb in its monocoque. The process is extremely difficult and tedious, but being the best is never easy!
At a glance

My Scene This month, SCENE enjoys a delicious Italian coffee with Adele Ursitti, owner of MammaLina Delicatessen & Café in Buckhurst Hill Words by Jo Fraser
Tell us a bit about your background I have been living in London since 2003 but I am originally from Termoli, in Italy. Believe it or not I studied finance and business management at University and I moved to London originally with Lehman Brothers before moving to JP Morgan. In 2009 I decided to pursue my dream and set up MammaLina Italian Delicatessen. What a jump...”From Banking to Baking”! What made you open MammaLina Delicatessen? MammaLina was born from my passion for Italian food, wine and culture and from my desire to introduce food lovers in the UK to the finest quality Italian products. I wanted to create a place with simple yet authentic Italian food, wine and coffee but also with a relaxing ambience and a real community feel. Customers can enjoy a coffee or homemade lunch and can also take home something special for dinner from our Delicatessen. What makes MammaLina’s product offering so special? All of MammaLina’s products are sourced directly from my home regions in Italy (Abruzzo & Molise), created by Italian artisans that have made food and wine their life. I personally meet every one of our suppliers. We have some really unique food products that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else in and around London and we stock some wines that rarely make it outside of Italy. Why Queens Road? I lived in central London when I was working in the city and I moved to

Adele Ursitti Buckhurst Hill a few years ago as my husband is from this area. I felt the area was missing an authentic Italian Delicatessen. Queens Road is a lovely road with some thriving independent shops and a friendly community feel. I wanted to create something that added to that sense of community.
Describe a typical day at MammaLina Impossible, I could write a book about it! ...Every day is different from the next in terms of challenges and rewards but this is the “beauty” of running your own business! Being able to combine my business background with something I’m passionate about is the ideal scenario. You run a number of events at MammaLina. Tell us a bit about these events Our philosophy is that good business is also about giving something back to the community. We have hosted a number of charity events over the past 2 years where we have partnered with small charities or local schools to raise money for good causes. At Easter we hosted a wine and chocolate tasting evening for psds (supporting children with Down syndrome). The proceeds funded the after school drama club for the whole of the next academic year. Clearly none of this would have been possible without having generous and kind hearted customers. On an ad-hoc basis we also host events such as food and wine tasting evenings, “Aperitivo” and pizzamaking classes for children. We also arrange private cookery demonstrations for small groups. What other services do you offer? Our best-kept secret is that we also cater for private parties or business events where we tailor the menu specifically for the occasion or
customer’s needs; we are as happy to cook a single classic Italian dish or celebratory cake as we are to provide a full catering menu. We can also take the stress out of your party by staffing it such that you can spend more time with your guests. What do you like to do with your spare time? I don’t have much free time but I love travelling and experiencing different cultures and foods. I like to exercise (when time allows) and of course I LOVE cooking! Enjoying great food and wine with my family and friends is for me one of life’s great pleasures. What does the future hold for MammaLina? We have just celebrated our 2nd Birthday and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their continued support. Our aim is to continue to delight our customers and to expand our offering over time whilst remaining true to our concept and truly Italian. In the future... maybe a biographical recipe book “From Banking to Baking”... watch this space!
