Visit Finca 6, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site and one of the four archaeological collections of unique pre-Colombian stone spheres located in chiefdom. There are four archaeological sites located in the Diquís Delta in southern Costa Rica, considered unique examples of the complex social, economic, and political systems of the period between 500–1500 AD.

Here you’ll witness a collection of stone spheres, whose meaning, use, and production remain largely a mystery. The spheres are distinctive for their perfection, quantity, size, and density.

Some expert theories suggest that the spheres are aligned with the stars and served as monumental compasses. Local lore tells that these spheres were the playthings of the gods to control the weather, but the truth remains unknown.

After this amazing encounter with the past, replenish with a savory Costa Rican lunch before returning to the pier.
