Stein Hospice Light Up A Life Celebrates 25 Years Stein Hospice’s Light Up A Life, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, gives families and friends an opportunity to memorialize or honor a loved one during the holidays. A donation of $15 or more will light a bulb on one of the Hospice Holiday Trees located in Washington Park in downtown Sandusky, and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Norwalk. The names of those being memorialized and honored are placed in the Book of Life, which is placed on the altar during two scheduled church services, then moved to the reception. The Book of Life is displayed throughout the year at the Stein Hospice main office, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky. To purchase a light go to www.steinhospice.org, and click on “donations,” then “donation oppor-

Ever since I moved to Huron 13 years ago, I have heard stories about a former Huron business called Myrtle’s. I also have heard bits and pieces about another, similar establishment that was run from a boat. Could this be a photo of that other business? I would like to gather some history on these two businesses of Huron’s past. Please share your knowledge and/ or stories with me via e-mail at lisa@historicalresearchpartners.com. Thanks for your assistance in helping me understand more about Huron’s past.
