Led by Conant High School Head Girls Basketball Coach Deirdre Naughton and Head Girls Volleyball Coach Drewann Pancratz, this dual sport camp will emphasize the fundamentals of volleyball and basketball. The first half will be volleyball and the second half basketball. This camp will include sport specific skills, team building, competition and fun! Professional Soccer Academy

Mark Stilling Football Camp

All camps will place a strong focus on football fundamentals in a non-contact format. While emphasizing individual skills, players will also be given instruction in the mechanics of team play. Daily activities include competitive team situations as well as skill development. Participants will be exposed to the system utilized by the Schaumburg High School football program. Pickleball/Badminton Camps

Pickleball is a combination of ping pong, tennis and badminton. This competitive game for experienced players uses wood and graphite paddles and unique plastic balls. It is easy to learn, provides plenty of exercise and is played on a badminton court. You donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t have to be strong, quick, athletic or good at other sports. An experienced staff of coaches, including college athletes, will teach your player a variety of soccer skills. Lil Pros Camps will introduce soccer in a fun, fast-paced environment that focuses on building balance, coordination, and fundamental soccer skills. While helping develop listening skills, cooperation, and teamwork. Pro Camp players will enhance their individual skill level to strengthen all technical areas. All facets of soccer (dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and defense) will be worked on. Athletics Skyhawks Flag Football Camps

Skyhawks Track & Field Camp

This program is perfect for beginner and intermediate young athletes who want a complete introduction to “America’s Game” or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play. Through our “skill of the day” activities, campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning – all presented in a fun and positive environment. The week ends with the Skyhawks Super Bowl, giving participants a chance to showcase their skills on the gridiron! All participants receive a t-shirt, football, and player evaluation .The participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 12:1. This program combines technical development and fundamental techniques with safety and a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, Skyhawks staff teach exercises and drills that prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track & field events, and distance running while inspiring a love for running and being active. Skyhawks Beginning Golf Camp

This program focuses on building the confidence of young athletes by teaching proper technique to refine essential skills of the game. Golf is a challenging and lifelong sport, so young athletes need proper focus on the fundamentals of form, swinging, putting, and body positioning. To assist in this training, Skyhawks has adopted the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system to its curriculum. SNAG utilizes a set of equipment designed for beginning golfers, including oversized plastic club heads and “mini tennis balls” to help build confidence and to have fun. Developed by PGA professionals, SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player and simplifies instruction for an easy, effective transition onto the golf course. Middle School Tennis Camps

Camps are designed for the junior player. All classes will be taught using the new USTA 10 and Under teaching style. Classes are designed to develop athleticism, hand-eye coordination and movement skills in a non-competitive cooperative environment. This is a fun introduction to tennis.

Camps are designed for the intermediate to advanced intermediate player. Players are grouped by ability and will learn all aspects of the game including technical strokes, keeping score, rallying and competing. Players will be given the opportunity to play team matches at the conclusion of the session.

JUNIOR LEADER PROGRAM FOR 13 TO 15-YEAR-OLDS (Must meet age requirement by Jan. 1, 2015)

Schaumburg Park District is seeking enthusiastic 13 to 15-year-olds who want to become leaders and potential staff members. Applicants must be 13 years old by Jan. 1, 2015. This fun experience is a great way to introduce the concept of employment responsibilities to teens. There will be a required fee of $22/$32 for the Junior Leader program. The fee is payable when registering for the Junior Leader Program. To register for Junior Leaders please use code 63747.
