5 Star Soccer Camp

This camp offers a fresh, enthusiastic approach to teaching youth soccer. Our curriculum presents the most current and advanced information on the development of players. Our quality staff builds on fundamental techniques while creating an atmosphere that unlocks the game within each child. Challenger Sports Soccer Camp

This camp includes technical and tactical instruction in all areas including goal keeping. Emphasis is placed on individual ball control and skill development through a coaching mix of maximum participation, progressive practices and small side games. Fee includes a ball and T-shirt. Red Stars Academy summer camp is led by current Red Stars players and top-level licensed coaches. Participants will focus on dribbling, passing and receiving, and shooting. Chicago White Sox Half-Day Baseball Camps (For Boys and Girls)

Professional coaches from the White Sox organization helped design this camp that focuses on throwing, hitting, fielding and base-running. All skill levels are welcome. Gymnastics Team Camp

This camp is designed for gymnasts who are currently on The Sport Center gymnastics team, or are in Schaumburg for the summer and trained on a gymnastics team at a level 2 or higher. Focus will be on increasing strength levels, conditioning, skill development, games, drills, independent workout time and more. Participants MUST bring gym shoes, a water bottle, sack lunch and a healthy snack for the afternoon break.

Professional Soccer Academy Camp

Take your game to the next level! Lil Pros Camp will introduce soccer in a fun, fast-paced environment that focuses on building balance, coordination, and fundamental soccer skills. Pro Camp players will enhance their individual skill level to strengthen all technical areas. Campers will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and ball bag. Both camps will spend the last day participating in Soccer Olympics and a water fight (weather permitting). Participants should bring a soccer ball, shin guards, snack and a water jug every day.

Gymnastics Tumble Cheer Camp

This camp is designed for cheerleaders or individuals who are looking to improve their tumbling skills, balance work and jump sequences to meet qualifications for current or future cheerleading squads. Skyhawks Beginning Golf Camp

This camp focuses on the fundamentals of form, swinging, putting and body positioning. Skyhawks utilizes the ShortGolf(r) system which uses modified equipment and a curriculum developed by PGA professionals. ShortGolf is specifically designed for the entry-level player and simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. No need to bring your own clubs, all equipment is provided. For safety reasons we keep the instructor to camper ratio for this camp very low, resulting in limited availability. Skyhawks Flag Football Camp

This is the perfect program for young athletes who want a complete introduction to “America’s Game” or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play. Campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball, including the core components of passing, catching and de-flagging or defensive positioning. Skyhawks Flag Football is recommended for beginning to intermediate athletes. The week will end with the Skyhawks Super Bowl, giving participants a chance to showcase their skills on the gridiron! Your little one will love moving to princess songs and learning new dance moves. Dancers will receive a new tutu to wear in class. Wear a solid colored leotard, tights and ballet slippers to class.

Using a unique software, participants will learn to create simple animations using stick figures. With collaboration and imagination, the stick figures will come to life. Children will love exploring the possibilities to make an animated story.

Junior Leader Program for 13 to 15-year-olds (Must meet age requirement by Jan. 1, 2020) Program Runs June - August

Schaumburg Park District is seeking enthusiastic 13 to 15-year-olds (must turn 13 before Jan. 1, 2020) who want to become leaders and potential staff members. This fun experience is a great way to introduce the concept of employment responsibilities to teens. Participants will rotate through a variety of different positions within the park district. These positions may include: camps, parties, swim lessons and concessions. • Applicants do not need to be available every day during the June to August time frame. They may share their availability with the program leader and create a volunteer schedule. Most programs are in the morning or early afternoon. • Complete the Junior Leader application packet available at parkfun.com, CRC, PSC and MRC after Monday, March 2.

• Required application and packet are due by Friday, May 8 to Jennifer Baynes at the Pat Shephard Center, 421 N. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg, IL 60194. • Call the Pat Shephard Center to set up an interview.

Once accepted into the Junior Leaders program, PSC staff will register the teen (barcode 30860). There is a required fee of $40 for residents and $50 for non-residents. Registration must be completed at PSC—it cannot be completed online. We are only accepting 20 participants for the program, so please submit your paperwork as soon as possible.
