How did we discover this treasure in the Gem State? Sometimes a little serendipity goes a long way. A while back, one of our executive team members was attending a conference where he met Russ Van Wagenen, the owner of a small builder in Boise. After comparing aligned missions, conjuring up a splendid vision, and shaking hands on a new partnership, they soon realized that Idaho would be the perfect place for our fourth Schell Brothers division.

Chief Growth Officer, Jon Beaver, elaborated on the thought processes that brought the Idaho idea to fruition. “Remote employment has been expanding the universe for new home buyers,” he said. “These days, people are gravitating to beautiful places that offer a more fulfilling lifestyle. From outdoor activities to a lively downtown scene, Boise has so much to offer.”

Wondering when you’ll see our Schell Brothers homes on the Idaho landscape? According to Russ, it won’t be long. “We’re in the process of setting up offices, identifying communities, and assembling top trade partnerships,” he explained. “I’m excited to be part of the team. Look for us to be creating Schell happy stories by the end of this year.”

So, just like that, we’re westward bound. With divisions in Virginia, Tennessee, and our flagship Delaware, we’re ready to start “bleeding blue for the Broncos” in Idaho! When you’re in the area, be sure to stop by our Schell tailgating booth—we’ll be there for every Boise State home game.
