Building Safety Starts at Home
WEEK TWO
This month the Schertz Planning & Community Development Department will participate in the 43rd annual Building Safety Month, a worldwide campaign presented by the International Code Council, its members, and partners to promote building safety. This year’s campaign, “Building Safety Starts with You!,” raises awareness about the importance of building codes in ensuring safety in the spaces in which we live, work, play, and learn.
Homes and buildings that are built in
Building Safety Month provides homeowners, government officials, and the public with the necessary information and resources to prepare and protect our built environment.
In honor of Building Safety Month, the Building Inspections Division will be at Lowe’s in Schertz to be a resource for the community on May 16 and May 23 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
