THE STANDARD IS ON THE WAY!
Unsichere Billigprodukte und mehrere schwere Unfälle mit Bio-Ethanol Feuerstellen in der Vergangenheit haben zu einem Umdenken bezüglich der Sicherheitsaspekte von Bio-Ethanol Feuerstellen geführt. Daraus resultierend wird die Erstellung der neuen Norm DIN 4734 massiv voran getrieben. Diese liegt jetzt als Entwurf vor und wird in Kürze offiziell erscheinen.
Cheap and unsafe products and numerous serious accidents in the past involving bio-ethanol fireplaces have triggered the necessity to re-examine the safety aspects of bio-ethanol fireplaces. Consequently, there is a huge drive on to complete the work currently going on in relation to completing the new standard DIN 4734. It is now available in draft-form and is due to come out officially shortly.

Das Herzstück aller Buschbeck Bio-Alkohol Feuerstellen ist die TÜV-geprüfte Sicherheits-Brennbox. Die Edelstahl Brennkammer erfüllt alle Anforderungen der neuen Norm DIN 4734. Die Brennbox besteht aus einer - aus einem Stück - gepressten Edelstahl-Vorratswanne mit aufgeschraubtem Deckel. Eine Dichtung dient dabei als Auslaufschutz. Der Brennerauslass besteht aus einem gepressten Keramikfaserteil mit Flammschutzgitter. Die Füllung aus Edelstahlwolle verhindert Verpuffungen im Inneren der Brennbox.
The centrepiece of all Buschbeck bio-alcohol fireplaces is the TÜV-tested safety combustion box. The stainless-steel combustion chamber meets all of the requirements of the new standard DIN 4734. The combustion box comprises a stainless-steel storage tank pressed from one piece and featuring a screw-down lid. A seal provided serves to protect against leaking. The burner port comprises a pressed ceramic fibre section with a flame-protection grille. The filling made from stainless-steel wool serves to prevent deflagration inside the combustion box.
Selbstverständlich verfügt die Brennbox über eine zweite dicht geschweißte äußere Sicherheits-Auffangwanne, falls einmal Brennstoff ausläuft oder beim Einfüllen verschüttet wird.
The combustion box, of course, features a second safety collection pan impermeably welded onto the outside just in case a fuel leak occurs or fuel gets spilt during filling.

Dabei wurden alle Tests bezüglich der Temperatur- und Abgaswerte der Brennbox, der Standfestigkeit der Feuerstellen mit Erfolg bestanden. Darüber hinaus klären wir unsere Kunden genauestens über mögliche Fehlbedienungen und Maßnahmen zur korrekten Bedienung auf - für den ungetrübten Genuss des Flammenspiels unserer Feuerstellen.
Our products successfully passed all of the tests conducted in relation to the temperature and exhaust emissions of the combustion burner as well as the stability of the fireplaces themselves. In addition, we make a point of explaining to our customers precisely where the potential for making operating errors lies and which measures should be taken to ensure correct operation - and, of course, enjoyment to the full of the fascinating interplay of flames that our fireplaces conjure up.

Alle Feuerstellen verfügen über einen sehr niedrigen Schwerpunkt und halten damit auch eventuelle Stöße aus ohne zu kippen, oder dass Bio-Ethanol aus der Brennkammer herausschwappt.
The centre of gravity is very low in all of the fireplaces, and consequently, knocks will not cause them to topple over or result in bio-ethanol spilling out of the combustion chamber.

G R E B E
Michael Grebe wurde1956 in Ründeroth im Bergischen Land geboren. 1986 beendete er sein Industrial-Design Studium an der Bergischen Universität Gesamthochschule in Wuppertal und zog zurück ins Oberbergische Land. Mit seiner Diplomarbeit – einem Arbeitsplatz für Zahntechniker – gewann er eine Auszeichnung beim Braun-Prize International für technisches Design 1986. Weitere internationale Auszeichnungen und Preise folgten. Von 1986 bis 1993 leitete er die Designabteilung eines grafischen Betriebes im Bereich Exhibition- und Shopdesign. 1993 gründete er sein eigenes Studio und arbeitet seither für internationale Kunden in den Bereichen Corporate Design und Produktentwicklung.
Michael Grebe Dipl. Industrial-Designer www.grebedesign.de Michael Grebe was born in Ründeroth/Germany in 1956. He graduated with a Diploma in Industrial Design from the University in Wuppertal in 1986. He moved back to Gummersbach/Germany after he finished his studies in Wuppertal. With his degree dissertation – a work-station for dental technicians – he won the award at the Braun-Prize International in 1986, followed by more awards and commendations. From 1986 until 1993 he managed the design department of a graphics company especially in the wide range of exhibition- and shopdesign. In 1993 he opened his own studio. From then on until now he develops corporate designs and product designs for international clients.

Paul Schmitz wurde 1956 in Gummersbach geboren. Nach seinen Studien für visuelle Kommunikation am Lette-Verein in Berlin und an der Fachhochschule Aachen war er 7 Jahre als Art-Director bzw. Creative Director in verschiedenen internationalen Werbeagenturen tätig. Seit 1993 ist er als freier Konzeptioner, Fotograf und Künstler tätig. Seine Tätigkeiten umfassen dabei konzeptionelle und gestalterische Arbeiten für z.B. Alain Mikli Eyewear, Volvo Deutschland, Verlag Kiepenheuer und Witsch etc.. Seit 2006 arbeitet er zusammen mit Michael Grebe an Entwürfen für Interieurs und Feuerstellen. Seine Inspiration zieht er dabei aus seiner fotografischen Tätigkeit und der freien künstlerischen Zusammenarbeit mit z.B. Frank Schätzing (Autor und Musiker) und Dirk Sommer (Maler).

At the beginning there was fire. The primal urge to sit around a warming fire in gregarious company, watching the play of the flames along with the functional standards place on a lounge table merge into a perfect symbiosis. The archaic campfire in a modern interpretation.. The flames in the table recess surround-protected from the wind and the sufficiently large table top make this product an ideal piece of furniture for inside as well as for outdoors. Zeichen setzen! Mit dem HI CUBE Sockel für die Bio-Ethanol Feuerstelle SQUARE setzen Sie Akzente. Ob freistehend im Wohn- oder Aussenbereich, flankierend vor Hauseingängen oder mehrere nebeneinander als Raumteiler. Diese Kombination ist in jedem Fall ein echter Hingucker. Die Säule ist aus hochwertigem Stahl gefertigt und pulverbeschichtet. Damit kann sie auch längere Zeit im Außenbereich eingesetzt werden ohne zu oxidieren. Die Standfestigkeit des Sockels wird durch drei fest verschraubte Stahlplatten Boden des Sockels erreicht. Damit kann die Feuerstelle Square ebenso kippsicher wie alle anderen Buschbeck Bio-Ethanol Feuerstellen betrieben werden.

Whether it is freestanding indoors or outdoors, flanked by house entrances or there are several of them next to one another as room partition. This combination is at any rate a real eye-catcher. The column is produced from high-quality steel and powder-coated. Hence they can also be used outdoors for longer periods without rusting. The plinth is stabilised by three steel plates in the base of the plinth that weighs it down. In this way the SQUARE fireplace can be operated just as securely without the risk of tilting as all the other Buschbeck bioethanol fireplaces.

Kaminromantik ohne Ruß und Rauch. Wer einen offenen Kamin sein Eigen nennt und diesen vielleicht nur deshalb nicht benutzt weil der damit verbundene Geruch und Schmutz ihn stört, kann jetzt auf diese Alternative umsteigen. Der einem Feuerrost nachempfundene Kamineinsatz arbeitet - wie alle anderen Bio-Ethanol Feuerstellen auch – mit dem gleichen vom TÜV Rheinland geprüften Brenner. Der offene Kamin muss dafür nicht speziell umgebaut werden, da das Gerät einfach in den vorhandenen Brennraum hineingestellt wird. Damit bleibt die Option den Kamin sowohl mit Holz als auch mit Bio-Ethanol zu betreiben. Die Verbrennung des Bio-Ethanols erzeugt jedoch keinen Rauch und keinen Ruß. Das Handling ist unter Berücksichtigung der entsprechenden Sicherheitsvorschriften ausgesprochen einfach.

Romantic fireplace atmosphere without soot and smoke. Those people who have their own fireplace and possibly don’t use it only because the smoke and dirt that go with it annoy them can now switch to this alternative. The fireplace insert that is modelled around a fire grate works - as in the case of all other organic ethanol fireplaces too - with the same burner that is tested by TÜV Rheinland. The open fireplace does not have to be specially reconstructed as the appliance is simply inserted into the existing combustion chamber. In this way you have the option of operating the fire with both wood and also with bioethanol. However, the combustion of bioethanol does not produce any smoke and any soot. The handling of it whilst observing the corresponding safety regulations is extremely easy.

The new Buschbeck premium bioethanol, contrary to many other standard commercial bioethanol brands, is produced not from industrial alcohol but rather from especially pure beverage alcohol. That means our customers get an environmentally-friendly bioethanol - Made in Germany – with particularly high purity and quality that has been thoroughly tested by TÜV Süd and correspondingly certified. During combustion, Buschbeck premium bioethanol produces a great amount of cosy warmth that pleasantly radiates through the living room. It is a real heating marvel: it produces a thermal effect of up to 4 kW. At the same time, the high degree of purity of the Buschbeck premium bioethanol provides lively, yellow flames, yielding an especially beautiful flame pattern.
