KS2 PRIMARY ATHLETICS
On Tuesday 21st Jan, pupils from Year 5 & 6 travelled to Frome College to take part in a multiple indoor athletics events which included running, jumping and throwing. Pupils worked hard to complete each event, with 12 stations in total. Pupils from Frome College were in charge of leading the event and were impressed with the attitude and effort of all Oakfield pupils. A huge well done to all who took part and were a credit to the Academy! MR FOWLER, HEAD OF PE SW MILANO SCHOOLS EVENT

On Wednesday 22nd January, Springmead School brought a squad of 8 players to play some Netball against Oakfield’s Year 6 team. Joined with our 13 players we managed to create 4 teams. A Springmead team, 2 Oakfield teams and one mixed team. They all played 3 games each and got the opportunity to play as part of a team.
This was Oakfield’s first Netball match and they applied their skills from practise over the last term really well. They showed some great marking and worked hard in defence. When we passed the ball out of defence we made some great attacking plays and scored several hoops.
A really enjoyable afternoon of Netball. Well done to all involved. Special congratulations to Eliza Castle, Levi Ashfield, Rose Harris, Felicity White, Chloe Rhymer, Isla Horsfall, Katie Norris, Esme Cowler, Brook Creighton, Marcella Saye, Poppy Hutchinson, Flo Bayliss and Emma Sanger.
