24th January 2025
Dear Parent Carers,
Weekly Update: 24/01/25
We hope this update finds you well. This week’s update is being sent to you both on paper and via email as we have some exciting news that we do not want you to miss!
Launch of Arbor Parent App
Through feedback, Parent Carers have let us know that they would like an App to keep up to date with their child’s time in school and as a method of communication. Therefore, we are pleased to let you know that we are launching the Arbor Parent App and Portal over the next couple of weeks. Through the App and Portal, you will initially be able to view your child’s attendance, medical information and contact details.
You won’t need to sign up to this system as this is done automatically through the school, and as long as you have provided us with up to date email addresses for each guardian with Parental Responsibility, you will receive a welcome email with a link to set up your account password.
You can then download the Parent Portal app from the app store. Information on help with this will be found using the link on your welcome email, and on the poster at the end of the update.
The Parent Portal will give you access to:
View live attendance data for your child
View and update the contact details we hold for you and your child
View and give consent for things such as photographs
The ability to receive and send in-app messages
In the future, we plan to use Arbor Pay for meal and trip payments as well as other helpful features such as the facility to book appointments for Parent Carer Evenings and view their child/young person’s timetable.
The initial welcome email will go to each guardian with parental responsibility and may appear in your junk or clutter folder, so please check that.
The email will contain a link that will take you through to the website for Arbor to register and set-up your account. You will then need to verify the account by confirming your child’s date of birth.
