Opportunity to meet and discuss course demands with individual subject leaders. Post-16 providers will also be available to meet and discuss options for 2025-26.

CONTENT INFORMATION

• Exam Boards

§ Subjects follow an exam syllabus which determines the content they are taught. E.g. Geography follow the AQA exam board syllabus.

• Revision Guides

§ A list of revision guides will be sent out indicating both exam syllabus and suggested revision materials.

What does this look like?

• The student FFT50 target – the average grade achieved by students who start high school at a similar academic level.

• The student target (chosen by the student in Y10)

• Mock Exam grade (where these have taken place)

• A predicted/working at grade, taking into account any Mock Exams, in class assessments, classwork and homework

• Reading Section A (40 marks) (25%) – One single literature fiction text.

• 1 short form question (1 x 4 marks)

• 1 extended question (1 x 20 marks)

• Writing Section B (40 marks) (25%)

• 1 extended creative writing question (descriptive or narrative) ( 24 marks for content; 16 marks for technical accuracy)

Paper 2: Writers’ Viewpoints and Perspectives (1 Hour 45 Minutes)

• Reading Section A (40 marks) (25%) – Two linked non-fiction texts.

• 1 Short form question (1 x 4 marks)
