Master of Accounting (MAcc)
Benefit from a unique Masters program accredited by both the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Ontario and the global Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) – designed for graduates of liberal arts, science and business programs. MULTIPLE PATHWAYS Depending on your academic background, the Schulich MAcc offers three distinct entry points, preparing you for success in the complex field of accounting while fast-tracking you through CPA Ontario’s Professional Education Program (PEP). The Diploma in Intermediate Accounting (DIAc) provides non-business graduates as well as individuals that have graduated from non-Canadian institutions with the prerequisites required to stream seamlessly into the MAcc. Business graduates from CPA-Accredited programs and Canadian business degrees begin the MAcc in Term 1. Schulich i/BBA graduates from the CPA stream may start the MAcc in Term 2 of the program.
First, you will master key accounting functions and hone the ability to make decisions within legal, financial, regulatory and ethical frameworks. Second, you will deepen your expertise in two streams; whether tax, assurance, performance management or finance, preparing you for the Common Final Examination (CFE). To support and accommodate working professionals, Term 3 is offered on evenings and biweekly weekends to prepare you with the final tools you need to successfully complete the CFE and accelerate your career.
Beyond the classroom, you’ll find opportunities to continue expanding your connections as you meet industry leaders at co-curricular and career networking events.
ACCA members, and affiliates with an undergraduate degree, may also receive advanced standing toward earlier completion of the MAcc.
MAcc graduates are highly marketable post-degree, with over 90% of students hired within three months of graduation, based on previous cohort data.
Participate in meaningful dialogue with highly engaged instructors about relevant, real-world accounting applications. With a focus on case-based integrative learning, the broad curriculum will help you to accomplish two important objectives.

Master of Real Estate & Infrastructure (MREI)
Build your career on a solid foundation with a program designed to develop tomorrow’s leaders in real estate and infrastructure. BUILD YOUR CAREER IN AN EXPANDING AND EVOLVING SECTOR Real estate and infrastructure have taken on a new importance as building blocks in today’s global economy, with increasing recognition that successful and sustainable cities are the ecosystems for business formation, innovation, and economic growth. This dynamic coincides with the growing importance of “real assets” in both institutional and individual asset portfolios that is transforming real estate and infrastructure investment and driving increased demand for highly qualified professionals that understand both industries as well as the connections between them. The 12-month Master of Real Estate & Infrastructure (MREI) is the first graduate program in North America to offer courses in both real estate and infrastructure. Explore the linkages between these two dynamic areas of urban development. The comprehensive curriculum integrates business leadership with an industry focus on development, investment and financing. Gain the skills and knowledge to analyze and execute successful real estate and infrastructure projects. The cornerstone of the program is a threeterm leadership development course in which you’ll sharpen your critical thinking skills and develop your own leadership style. Required courses will examine valuation techniques, legal and regulatory frameworks, investment and business structures, sustainability topics, planning and design issues, and the project life cycle. Clarify your professional interests as you dive into specialized topics like real estate asset management and infrastructure investment. In your final term, you’ll have the opportunity to apply theory within a collaborative framework, as you tackle a timely project that 44
embodies real-world social, environmental and business challenges. Benefit from valuable feedback as you present your solutions to a panel of business leaders from within the industry. The MREI’s broad contextual landscape and experiential learning approach equip graduates to make a meaningful impact in this sector. Building upon a decades-long track record of excellence, rigorous theory informs innovative practice in this groundbreaking program. A UNIQUE CO-CURRICULAR EXPERIENCE Lay a foundation for success as you expand your skill set and portfolio with a one-of-akind co-curricular program. Participate in a variety of city and site tours, international case competitions and industry networking events. Challenge yourself at the renowned Developers’ Den case competition, where you’ll collaborate with fellow students to develop imaginative solutions to industry challenges. CAREERS IN REAL ESTATE AND INFRASTRUCTURE Build an invaluable network, with the support of the Brookfield Centre in Real Estate and Infrastructure, as you benefit from Schulich’s close ties with industry leaders and a tightly-knit alumni community. In addition to one-to-one coaching with industry advisors via Schulich’s Career Development Centre, you’ll enjoy a close working relationship with your instructors who are experts in development, investment management, project finance, project management, urban planning, architecture and law. As an MREI graduate, you will find success in a variety of roles within real estate and infrastructure development, investment, finance and asset management.
