how to participate in Research Exchange Program

Requirements

A registered medical students from any medical school in Indonesia and at least is on their second year of education by the time of departure

The recent status of the applicant should be a medical student and/or has graduated as a doctor for no longer than 6 months (at maximum) by the departure of the exchange.

Selection

2. Book the Application Form through the SCORE website (score.cimsa.or.id/ exchange).

At the end of the registration, you will receive information about the Local Officer you’re assigned to, along with the amount they should pay and the bank account number. Pay the fee according to the amount and to the bank account information received.

Confirm the payment by sending the proof of payment to the assigned Local Officer’s email, cc nafo.score@cimsa.or.id with the subject:

After the payment is confirmed by Treasurer SCORE CIMSA, the application package (application form, CV, motivation letter, vaccination card) will be sent to the applicant’s email by the Local Officer. Applicants will receive a Google Drive link filled in with the documents format.

Fill in the application package and upload it back to the Google Drive sent, and send a confirmation email to the Local Officer email cc nafo.score@cimsa.or.id and nore@cimsa.or.id under the same subject in the same email thread.

The result will be announced on (follow our Instagram account for the exact date).

The applicant who passes the selection process will be contacted by the National Committee on Research Exchange (NCRE) and will be directed to the respective Local Officer on Research Exchange for further inquiries.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do after I have been selected?

You will be contacted by the National Committee on Research Exchange and will be directed to the Local Officer on Research Exchange (LORE) from one of our local committees. Our LORE will guide you to continue to the next phase.

When is the exchange period?

This exchange season starts from April 2024 - March 2025. Thus, you are allowed to choose your preferred date of departure. However, before you fill in the date, you must be aware of the country’s Exchange Conditions since several countries only host students in specific months.

3. How long is the duration of the exchange?

There are 2 phases of the selection: documents selection and interview.

4. How much should I pay for this program

To assure the academic quality, the duration of exchange will be 4 weeks. In order to get the certificate, one of the requirements is to fulfill at least 80% of attendance.

The fee for a bilateral contract will be E305 + E50 (exchange fee + deposit) and for a unilateral contract will be E105 + E50. The fee should be paid to the Treasurer of SCORE CIMSA right after the agreement has been signed For a unilateral contract, you also have to pay the unilateral fee directly to the hosting country in the way as mentioned in their Exchange Conditions. Please see related country’s Exchange Conditions to notify the amount of its unilateral fee.

The contract fee will include your accommodation and meals for once per day (or equivalent) during the exchange period. For more information, check the Exchange Conditions specific to your hosting NMO (National Member Organization).

What about the visa and the plane ticket?

The outgoing student is fully responsible to obtain their own visa and buy their own ticket. SCORE CIMSA will help to provide invitation letter from the hosting country. Any failure in visa obtaining is not the responsibility of SCORE CIMSA.

Is the vaccination card mandatory for application?

The vaccination card is optional, but highly recommended as applicants with a vaccination card is prioritized.
