Roller Coaster Design

Camp Snapshot: If your child wants to experience Kings Island during the summer, now is their chance!

Throughout this week, children will be challenged to design their own roller coasters using found materials and their own imaginations. There will be contests, creativity, and, of course, a trip to Kings Island to end the week.

Mix and Match Fashionistas

Camp Snapshot: This program is for all those who have an eye for design! We will spend the week making the perfect ensemble. In order to make the perfect outfit, children will develop a budget so they can buy items at thrift and craft stores, learn basic sewing techniques, and even make some artistic renderings on iPad. At the end of the week, they will show off their ensemble to fellow campers in a fun fashion show!

Garden Expeditions

Camp Snapshot: Campers will plan and host a themed party! They will create inspiration boards to begin the brainstorming process and get excited about different ideas. We will determine a budget, then create a list of supplies and a menu that stays within the budget. Campers will be thrilled to see their hard work pay off when they throw their party and take part in all the fun they’ve planned!

Stingers Lego Builders

July 17-21 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Camp Snapshot: Do you love playing with Legos? If so, this camp is for you! Students will complete a variety of engineering challenges, including cooperative team and individual tasks, throughout the week. Lego themed games and crafts will also be part of this fun-filled camp. (This is not a coding or Lego robotics club — we will be building with Legos “old school” style.)

Camp Snapshot: Come measure, pour, swirl, and whirl into the world of chemistry as we explore reactions by making sidewalk chalk, volcanoes, crystals, and much more. We’ll make water flow uphill, create density bottles, and various kinds of slime. Each day is packed with hands-on, energetic fun!

Boys Lacrosse Camp

Camp Snapshot: In this introduction to the popular sport of lacrosse, young children will learn fundamental skills and basic techniques. Each player will leave the camp with a basic knowledge of the rules of the game and appreciation for the sport.

YouTube Stars

Camp Snapshot: Campers will enjoy learning how to safely create YouTube videos. Activities will include filming, editing, creating thumbnails, and hosting all sorts of fun YouTube content. Students will learn internet safety when posting and will not share their last names or personal information. Who should choose this camp: YouTubers, children with an interest in making videos and acting on screen

Racquet Sports

Camp Snapshot: Each day of this exciting program will feature off-site venues where children will learn about racquet sports. We will meet local instructors, focus on handeye coordination, and play these unique sports. Tennis, racquetball, ping pong, badminton, and pickleball will all be covered in this active camp.

Alex Meacham Basketball Camp

Instructor: Alex Meacham

Camp Snapshot: Former University of Cincinnati player and coach Alex Meacham will lead this camp with a focus on learning and improving fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Our goal is to have each child gain a better understanding of the game, as well as working on ball handling, footwork, defense, shooting, and passing.
