Amy Dennis New Paintings 7 - 28 November 2012 Born in Warrington 1977. Amy Dennis studied at Leeds College of Art from 1995-6 and at Edinburgh College of Art from 1996-2000 (Drawing and Painting). Amy currently lives and works in Edinburgh. For this show Amy has painted views of Edinburgh which include foreground arrangements or studio objects. The work is inspired by modern British surrealism using the ancient medium of egg tempera on gesso. Her unique style is identifed by the strong sense of line both drawn and inscribed, a particular colour palette and composition created by collage.
