MENTOR REFUGEE YOUTH Commit to meet with a mentee three times a month (will work around your schedule) 44th Street and McDowell, Phoenix Share your life with a refugee youth by simply having fun together and being a friend to them. These kids need someone to make them feel special and help them on their life journey.

NEIGHBORHOOD MINISTRIES – SOLES FOR SOULS June 30 – July 28 Neighborhood Ministries serves the poor in inner-city Phoenix and has more than 500 children in their Kids Club program. We partner with them to help these kids start their school year off right with a new pair of shoes. Beginning June 30, stop by the patio tables and pick up a packet that includes all the details about purchasing a new pair of shoes for a deserving child. Shoes should be returned by July 28 and a special day will be planned to give them to the kids.
HOUSE OF REFUGE/HOUSE OF HOPE – CAMPUS CLEAN-UP DAY June 22, 8:30am – 12pm September 14, 8:30am – 12pm 9980 N. 7th Place, Phoenix Participate in various clean-up and maintenance duties both inside and outside of this ministry’s main facility and resident housing areas. HOST A 5-DAY CLUB – CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP (CEF) June 10-14: 10-11:30am, 1-2:30pm, or 3:30-5pm June 17-21: 10-11:30am, 1-2:30pm, or 3:30-5pm June 24-28: 10-11:30am, 1-2:30pm, or 3:30-5pm Your Home Open your home and invite neighborhood children to learn more about Jesus. 5-Day Clubs are held for 1.5 hours each day for 5 consecutive days. CEF Summer Missionaries do all of the teaching and leading of the club. The host family provides the place to hold the club, invites the kids they know (and/or kids in the neighborhood), and provides snacks and drinks at the end of the club for the kids. Some hosts will plan water games, or a day to swim in their pool after club, but that is not expected or necessary. This is a great way to meet and fellowship with other parents, and a great way to introduce kids and their families to Scottsdale Bible. Clubs are provided by CEF at no cost to the church or to the host families.

To accommodate different interests and schedules, we offer many exciting places to serve. Visit our website and search our Opportunity Finder under the Serve menu. There you’ll find the best fit for your gifts, talents and passions.
HERE ARE A FEW IMMEDIATE NEEDS WE HAVE FOR VOLUNTEERS:
INTRODUCTORY DSLR VIDEO CLASS
VACATION BIBLE EXPERIENCE June 3-7 (VBX Junior) or June 10-14 (VBX) We will welcome hundreds of kids to our campus for Colossal Coaster World this year. Join the fun and be blessed by seeing kids come to Christ and find a church home at Scottsdale Bible. Our volunteers regularly tell us how blessed they are by serving at VBX. Training is provided for all volunteer roles.
Classroom Leaders create a comfortable, fun and exciting learning environment while ensuring that their classes remain on schedule. Classroom Helpers assist class leaders by helping children get adjusted upon check-in and helping manage the classroom. Nursery Volunteers serve our VBX workers by caring for their babies (birth-age 2) while they are busy in their classrooms. These important volunteers help us be good stewards by not paying for childcare workers. SUNDAY CHILDREN’S MINISTRY Sunday Classroom Leaders and Co-Leaders are an integral part of our weekly ministry to children and families. We look forward to welcoming many new smiling faces to our team this summer. To learn more about VBX or Children’s Ministry opportunities, contact children@scottsdalebible.com COLLEGE MINISTRY Leaders are needed for our rapidly growing College Group. Volunteers open their homes two to four times per month to meet with and show love to groups of three to seven college students. These times are life-giving for the students and many times the leaders are far more blessed by the students than they could ever have imagined! Contact students@scottsdalebible.com
Sunday, June 30, 9am, Choir Room This one-hour class taught by Scottsdale Bible’s video producer/editor will help you understand your DSLR camera’s capability to capture high-quality video footage. Topics will include instruction about suggested tools and equipment as well as videography techniques. This is an ideal class for those going on mission trips this summer, individuals interested in volunteering as part of our Media Production team, or anyone who would like to learn more about using their DSLR camera. For more information, email media@scottsdalebible.com
GENERAL Bulletin Stuffers add inserts and sermon notes to the bulletins each week for the weekend services. We have fun, fellowship and food while we work. Many of our volunteers leave for the summer, so we need more willing hands each Friday at 12:30pm. Graphic Designer needed to help create graphics and publicity pieces for events and classes. Office Volunteer needed to help with various administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, data entry and more. An ability to serve on a regular basis (i.e. one day per week) during office hours is strongly preferred. To learn more or to volunteer for any of these opportunities, contact serve@scottsdalebible.com
