TANZANIA For almost 10 years, people from Scottsdale Bible have been sharing Christ’s transformational power with two African communities through compassionate care and quality education.

8

More than 900 children are being educated in the two schools we developed and support in Mairowa and Kondoa. Through child sponsorship and new project initiatives, God is bringing vast improvements to the overall development and welfare of these villages. The children are thriving in an environment where they are receiving a top-notch education, food, clothing, healthcare and clean water. Most importantly, lives are being impacted for eternity. God is transforming these two Tanzanian villages, one child at a time.

THREE WAYS TO

Join with others each week as we joyfully express gratitude to God for what He has done for us. Through diverse music styles, reflection and celebration, people from all different backgrounds and generations join to be refreshed and realigned. Choose a service time and style to fit your preferences and be challenged and inspired as we worship God together. 20

Not only is serving essential to the life and health of our church, but it’s also one of the best ways for you to get involved and meet others. Let us help you find a place to use your gifts, passions and talents for God’s glory—in our church, our community, or around the world.

SERVE

CONNECT

It’s easy to feel anonymous in a large church. That’s why getting connected into a smaller community is key. Small groups are the primary place where you are known and cared for at Scottsdale Bible. Within these small communities, you can develop personal relationships, practice applying the gospel to your daily life, and serve God in meaningful ways with others.

21

WORSHIP We are one church in multiple locations. During our worship services, you’ll encounter dynamic Bible teaching with real-life application, engaging media, and a range of music styles to inspire your personal expression of worship.

SATURDAY NIGHTS | SHEA CAMPUS Experience passionate worship with modern music and technologies in a creative band-driven environment. 22

Shea Campus WORSHIP CENTER A variety of services in our main worship center offer everything from traditional to dynamic contemporary music with diverse instrumentation and vocals.

VENUE COMMUNITY This smaller, on-campus community, led by our Venue Pastor and Worship Leader meets in the Town Center and includes simulcast teaching via video and live contemporary music.

MORNINGS SUNDAY MORNINGS | ALL CAMPUSES In our Sunday services, the music styles range from traditional to contemporary, with a rich blend of instrumentation and vocals to inspire a joyful expression of praise.

Cactus Campus

CACTUS CAMPUS 2501 East Cactus Road, Phoenix, AZ 85032

Our multisite campus in Phoenix has its own campus pastor and leadership team, and enjoys simulcast teaching from the Shea campus in a smaller community with authentic, contemporary worship. 23

CONNECT We’re a large church and it’s difficult to build relationships when you only attend weekend services. The primary way to feel connected and live out what you’re learning in church is to join with a smaller group of friends who will walk alongside you. Small groups meet in homes all over the Valley. We also have on-campus classes on Sundays and throughout the week where you can gather with others to learn and grow. Find out how the Bible applies to every area of life—your career, family life, marriage, finances, personal growth and more.

SERVE FIND A PLACE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE One of the best ways to experience community and grow in your faith is to get involved in helping others. God designed us to live a life of significance and purpose. Serving is a great way to find out what that means for you. If you don’t already have a place to serve, we’ve got a great tool on our website to help you find one. Whatever your abilities or interests, you are needed and there is a place for you to get involved. Take a look at the more than 100 different opportunities we have posted at scottsdalebible.com/serve and see which one is right for you.

A CAMPUS REDESIGN WILL MAXIMIZE OUR 18-ACRE PROPERTY AND PROVIDE NEW SPACES FOR EXPANDED MINISTRY.

A VISION FOR THE FUTURE This is an exciting season in the life of our church! After celebrating 50 remarkable years of God’s faithfulness, Scottsdale Bible is pursuing a new God-directed vision for our future. Launched in early 2013, Compelled by Grace is a bold new plan to win more people to faith, see lives changed, and expand our impact in the Phoenix area and around the world.

Our Club56 and Junior High students will have space to grow in a great new place to call their own.

Our kitchen will be expanded to serve the needs of growing ministries.

A new café and courtyard will provide inviting spaces for people to gather and build relationships throughout the week. 28

Special Ministries will have increased space to meet student needs and expand their outreach.

Our new Children’s Center will increase space, security and large group meeting areas, providing better opportunities to engage kids in learning and worship.

Our Worship Center will be expanded and enhanced, making room for 400 more people and allowing us to welcome 3000 adults per service time.

An architecturally beautiful chapel will provide a special place for weddings, memorials, worship and family events. 29

We believe God wants to use us to reach the 87% of people in our community who don’t yet attend a church. Redesigning our Shea campus, starting new multisite campuses, and planting churches will enable us to reach out to more of these families.

30

Following on the success of our Cactus Campus, we are launching our second multisite soon and planting new churches to impact more families in our region with the gospel.

Go out to the highways and hedges, and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled. -LUKE 14:23

New multisite campuses will be added within 20-30 minutes of our Shea Campus, bringing Scottsdale Bible to new parts of our city. 31

God has called Scottsdale Bible to be a globally minded, mission-focused church. Through Compelled by Grace, we are expanding our impact into new regions and engaging these cultures with the good news of Jesus Christ.

WESTERN EUROPE Strategic partnerships in Western Europe through academia, leadership, church growth and renewal.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. -MATTHEW 28:19-20 32

THE MIDDLE EAST Continued partnerships in the Middle East to train and equip pastors, leaders and reach the culture.

OUR VISION Create a community of Christ-followers marked by unwavering faith and unconditional love.

VISION, MISSION, VALUES

Scottsdale Bible Church is simply a collection of people who desire to follow Christ by faith. We believe that if we love God and let Him show us how to love one another, the world will take notice.

OUR MISSION WIN people to faith in Jesus Christ; BUILD them up in their faith; then SEND them out to win and build others in their spheres of influence.

34

OUR VALUES Regardless of what we are involved in, these four values: transformational Bible teaching, engaging worship, authentic community, and service-based outreach—each supported by GRACE—are distinct to Scottsdale Bible Church and define who we are.
