House Renoviation

~HOME MAKEOVER~ GORGEOUS HOME RENOVATION ON THE RANCH!

We purchased our home in Scottsdale Ranch in the spring of 2018. It was a lovely home, but we knew it needed some upgrades and a more modern touch to suit the needs of our family. Those few items to replace and upgrade turned into a full renovation on the interior and on the exterior. The work over the past three years has had many bumps along the way but we couldn’t be prouder of the home and life we have built here.

The renovation for our home included removing walls, opening up our back wall to look out onto our backyard to create that indoor/outdoor living we discovered on trips to Bali, Thailand and Australia. We went with a very modern garage door, but it matched our color and tile color scheme. We replaced the front yard with an inviting courtyard upgraded the backyard with a bocce ball/petanque court, a new sports court for our basketball court, an oversized chess board and our putting green area. Along with the exterior we redid the interior of our home and our attached casita to reflect the same modern feeling inside.

Many neighbors ask us on our walks, dog walks and bike rides how we got the HOA to approve all of our dramatic changes. We always answer with, “we presented a cohesive plan that adds to the community and didn’t take away from it.” The HOA here has been fully supportive of our changes as they realize that our neighborhood is going through an evolution as more and more new families move in. With them comes a desire to upgrade, renovate and modernize their new homes to reflect the needs of today’s families.

We hope that people who live here and new neighbors moving in find some inspiration from our home to find ideas they like and or the knowledge that our HOA is very open minded about changes and modifications that blend the future of Scottsdale Ranch with its past.
