Les Yeux du Monde (LYDM) is a modern and contemporary art gallery in Charlottesville, Virginia, founded in 1995 by brilliant gallerist and art historian, the late Lyn Bolen Warren.
Lyn began the gallery on the walls of her mountaintop home shortly after completing her PhD in art history at UVA. As the gallery grew, it moved to several di erent locations in downtown Charlottesville. In 2009, Lyn brought the gallery back to its original setting on the mountaintop, this time to a stunning contemporary corten steel and glass block structure designed by renowned architect W.G. Clark.
Lyn Bolen Warren passed away in November of 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer. Today, LYDM is carried forward by her daughter, Hagan Tampellini.
For those interested in top-notch contemporary art, award-winning modern architecture, breathtaking views of Charlottesville, and thought-provoking programming, LYDM is not to be missed.
