From the Director of Athletics Greetings to all in Owl Nation: As we embark on the 2014-15 academic year, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and also share some of the great work taking place within our Athletic Department and across the campus community. Growing up in West Haven, and later serving as the director of athletics at the University of Bridgeport and Albertus Magnus College, I was already well aware of the outstanding tradition of the Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Department, along with the strong academic reputation of the institution, when this opportunity became available in the spring. As a visitor to campus for numerous events throughout my administrative career, it was very evident to me that SCSU is a special place. During the course of my interview process, I learned more about the outstanding group of coaches, athletic administrators and student-athletes, along with the strong Director continued on Page 7.
