THE HONORS COLLEGE
The Honors College offers a challenging and rewarding educational experience to intellectually inquisitive incoming high school seniors or transfer students with outstanding academic ability. Honors College students may choose a major in any field.
ACCELERATED BACHELOR’S TO MASTER’S
If you’re interested in earning your master’s degree, undergraduate students can complete their bachelor’s and master’s degree in a combined five years as part of a package of accelerated programs — a path that saves you both time and money. Choose from: Anthropology, Athletic Training, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, Exercise and Sport Science, Health Science, History, Mathematics, Nursing, Physical Education, Psychology, Recreation and Leisure, Sociology, Spanish, and Sport Management.

After a five-year deployment in the U.S. Army, Harrison knew what he wanted to do after he left the service: He left the Army to start his academic career at Southern, with aspirations to become a clinical psychologist. “When I took this route of psychology, I have this ten-year plan, so I know what I’m doing and know where I want to go, and how to get to it.”
