ENGINEERING Engineering is one of the fastest growing industries in the UK. In 2018, 27% of businesses in the UK were engineering-related. The industry employs 5.6 million people and generates 23% of the UK’s total turnover. There is huge potential for employment within the industry as technology continues to develop. There is a significant demand for engineering skills and it is thought that there is an annual shortfall of up to 59,000 engineering graduates and technicians to fill core roles. Our engineering courses will give you the opportunity to learn the essential skills you need for the industry in our purpose-built workshops. Develop skills in machining as you practise on our industry-standard machinery - which include
lathes, grinders, and milling machines. As you advance you will become more familiar with technical drawings, 3D design, and scientific principles of manufacturing. You will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge through educational trips, client set briefs, and valuable work experience. Our tutors are highly experienced and have a wealth of knowledge in the industry.
