Practice Gratitude: Being grateful for what you have can help put your experiences into perspective and focus more of your attention on the things that are working in your life. Take this opportunity to make a list of the things you are grateful for.

Develop Acceptance: Accepting what has happened enables you the ability to develop true awareness. There is no choice without awareness of what is happening. Awareness is the key to meaningful change. Once we can accept what has happened, we can make the best choices. Keep in mind that for every problem there is a solution.

Breathe Deeply: As you breathe in you are bringing fresh oxygen into your body and as you breathe out you are expelling carbon dioxide and other toxins. Stop toxins such as smoking and being around those who do.
