Helpers for a Happy Home
by Fran Tegg
Life can sometimes need a little sorting. As we get older, it can get a little quieter – sometimes a little lonelier.
This is where community comes in. Awardwinning home help company, Good Life Sorted, has that community: a team of professional Helpers that you can connect with in seconds.

Thanks to an easy to use website and team of specialist advisors available on the phone, Good Life Sorted can link you to someone who lives nearby, who can commit some time to helping you for a reasonable hourly fee. You can keep on top of things at home, build a new friendship and if needed, alleviate loneliness.
Everyone is handpicked, fully vetted and insured, and they are available at times to suit you.
Carla Rollings is a Helper who visits three customers in her local area. A former hairdresser with grown-up children, she has more time on her hands now and loves spending it with her customers. ‘I never expected to enjoy this as much as I do,’ she says. ‘Everyone needs something different: some lunch, a walk, a cuppa, a bit of shopping, support with technology. My hours supplement family visits and I feel I’m part of a routine that is helping my customers stay independent and happy in their own homes. They’re all fabulous company, we genuinely have a good time together.’ Good Life Sorted was inspired by founder Constantine Karampatsos’ grandmother Zoe, who stayed active and independent in her own home until she was 96, thanks to the help of her neighbour’s company and a little help with the daily chores.
He says: ‘This is not nursing or personal care, this is good old fashioned company and day to day support, provided by friendly, reliable and fully vetted local people. By helping with tasks like cleaning, shopping, laundry, preparing meals and providing transport, our professional Helpers enable older people to remain happy in their own homes.’
Mandy Shrader, another Helper, adds, ‘My children are now adults and I was made redundant from my role in the hospitality industry during the COVID pandemic. Being a Helper is perfect, as it means I can work the hours I choose, help local elderly people, while earning at the same time and feeling appreciated for what I do.’
Good Life Sorted is already operating successfully across a number of regions in England and has helpers in Seaford and surrounding areas. If you, or someone you know, could do with a little extra support, they could provide the connection needed.
