Heartsease

not merely a flower

Nearly 30 years ago two local women, recently widowed and feeling isolated, conceived the idea of forming a group for bereaved people. They called it HEARTSEASE, after the flower. The group has thrived and now HEARTSEASE has evolved to welcome anyone who, for whatever reason, finds themselves alone and would enjoy some social interaction.

At 2.30pm on the first Friday of every month – except August – meetings take place in the large hall at Seaford Baptist Church. There is a programme of speakers and other activities to cater for a wide variety of interests. After the entertainment there is time for companionship and a delicious tea, provided by a great team of helpers.

For those who enjoy the occasional evening sortie, three evenings a year we arrange to go together to plays performed at Seaford Little Theatre. Transport is offered when necessary. Our annual summer outings have taken us far and wide...
