Fall
in the Lowcountry
As Summer draws to a close we anticipate the cooler weather of fall. It’s a busy time in the Lowcountry with school starting, high school and college football season beginning and primo shrimping and fishing season cranking up. The beginning of fall also brings cooler weather for golf and tennis. There is a a plethora of activities to enjoy in the Sea Islands. Make sure to stop by some of the many Farmers Markets that are open in the area. Home tours offer views into the Lowcountry’s historic homes and plantations. Did you know that Beaufort has more homes on the national Historic Register than any other town of it’s size in the United States? Just one more great feature of our beautiful community! Many of our restaurants offer outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air and water views. Whether you are looking for cocktails and a quick bite or want to linger over a leisurely dinner while watching the gorgeous sunset, check out the menus at Saltus, Panini's and Plums for a wide variety of fabulous food. So get out and enjoy all that the fall has to offer before it is time to start thinking about the holidays!
