Before we were a paddle company, we were paddlers. We’ve always built paddles for ourselves and a few friends.

SUP
Over twenty years ago, we started turning out paddles on Dave’s parents’ lanai in Kailua for our outrigger buddies. This eventually led to the first stand up paddle for Laird Hamilton, and to the most innovative, beautiful, functional SUP paddles on the market today. Through the years we have always kept our core values top of mind: Po’okela (Excellence), Laulima (Teamwork), M¯alama (Stewardship). The stand up community is growing every day, but one thing hasn’t changed: We still build paddles we are proud to have our friends use and we plan to continue this tradition for the next 20 years. Mahalo!
Our 2014 line reflects the growth of stand up paddling into new sports and new locations and expresses the authentic blend of passion, heart, experience and innovation that is built into every single KIALOA paddle. Whether you are planning to do a downwinder in the Gorge, race on Lake Michigan, explore Hosmer Lake with friends, run the rapids of the White Salmon, surf at Makaha, or do the “downward dog” on your SUP board, KIALOA has designed an extensive line of SUP paddles with features geared towards your specific needs.
