Honouring the finest in Asia maritime online The Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia 2020 were a little bit different from usual.
I would also like to thank our valued sponsor and partners who helped make the awards possible.
In these unprecedented times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to hold the customary Gala Awards Dinner but this does not change the importance of recognising those who go the extra mile in the business of maritime, so this year we held a presentation online to honour the winners of the Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia 2020.
This publication lists all our very worthy finalists and the winner of each category with an explanation of the judges’ choice.
Indeed, the current situation has served to underscore the vital nature of maritime and shipping to the global economy and keeping supply chains moving even when billions around the world have been locked down and working from home. It has also highlighted the invaluable role played by our seafarers and the need to protect them as key workers.
We are already looking forward to the Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia 2021 and the promise of many fascinating entries as companies and organisations innovate and adapt operations to keep this most vital of industries running smoothly in these challenging times.

The events of the last six months will undoubtedly change the way we work in the future and it is companies like those that enter the Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia that will lead this innovation. We received a significant amount of entries across the 12 competitive categories this year profiling a vast range of business initiatives and innovations. It made for a long and arduous task for the independent judging panel and we would like to thank them for all their time and effort in ensuring these awards are entirely impartial.
