While Jones began planning for this exhibition, the fears, worries and losses of the past two years were unquestionably present for her, as they have been for us all. Becoming caught up in these challenges, however, was not an option for Jones. “Dressed To Go Out” reflects Jones’ feelings that it is time to find a different path, one that celebrates the lives we have now. While Jones has always been interested in the energetic interactions created by her brilliant palette, the ebullient color work in this collection is irrepressibly spirited. The viewer is invited to put on their party clothes and find a joyful way forward.
