Whether you use your bike for getting around the neighborhood, going to school or ripping up the local track ‘n trails, Redline has the perfect bike to do it on, in maximum style. From curb jumpin’ to sprinting down the street, the affordable T&T line will easily get you from point A to point B. For even more flair, better parts and a lighter bike - check out the MX series or Proline models.

Just as your local trails probably have an “easy” line and an ultra “hard” section of jumps, Redline has a variety of models to match those skill levels. Having better skills means you can handle bigger jumps and crazier variations. And as your skills climb, you’ll need tougher parts to hold up to the harder abuse. Redline starts with the entry-level T&T line, and goes all the way up to the Professional-grade equipment of the RL series.

If you spend most of your time around concrete bowls and coping, then the odds are you might prefer pegs and two brakes. Then again, you might also like to go brakeless and chainless like Def Paul. Whatever your style is, and no matter what skill level you have at your local park, Redline’s got a bike built just for you. Want front and rear brakes? Or just one pair? Need 4 pegs or 2? All of these options are available througout the T&T and RL series line of bikes, and what you decide on all depends on the specific style of riding you’re doing.

There’s “shredding” the streets (going fast, hoppin’ curbs) and then there’s STREET; the type of hardcore street riding that Redline’s Tyrone WIlliams is known for. And the kind of Redline bike you require for riding street will also depend on how hard you’re attacking the urban terrain of your city. If it’s just getting from point A to point B with a few bunnyhops inbetween, check out the T&T line. But if you’re thinking of grinds, jumps, gaps, tailwhips or 360’s, then you’ll definitely want to step up to an RL-series street machine. Need front brakes and a rotor? Then pay close attention to the 1.2 and 3.2.

In BMX Racing, there are four skill levels Beginner/Novice, Intermediate, Expert and Professional. Redline has long been known for providing a top-notch race bike for every skill category. When you first start racing as a Novice, the T&T Series will provide an excellent starting point. As your skills and speed improve, a lighter bike will become advantageous - and the Proline series has become the ultimate bike for Intermediates and Experts. Once you are competing with the best in your city, state or region, then you’ll definitely want the best equipment available - which is Redline’s Flight series. These are the same bikes raced on by the entire Redline Global team.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE IN MATERIALS?

R-6 Alloy is a proprietary high-strength aluminum that is stronger than 6061 aluminum. The tensile strength is an average of 33% better than 6061 alloy material allowing for up to a 20% lighter frame than 6061 alloy material. This tubing is used exclusively on Redline’s Flight frames. Due to its high strength, we are able to use a thinner gauge of tubing - which is why the Flight series frames are some of the lightest available; while maintaining the full strength and ride characteristics that our professional riders demand. Light weight and maximum strength have always been the foundation of Redline’s Flight series of race bikes.

Used in our top of the line Device model, Sanko tubing from Japan is a premium-grade 4130 Chromoly. Due to its strength, Redline is able to use double-butted tubing - meaning that it’s thicker where it needs to be (at the welding area), and is thinner in the midsections of the tube. This makes for a lighter, yet stronger frame. Which explains why the Dew Tour podium-placing Redline team uses all Device parts -- such as the new 2010 Device complete bike.

Hi-Tensile steel tubing is the most affordable material for making bicycle frames & forks. Most entry-level bikes are made from this material. It is strong enough for everyday riding and helps keeps the price of the bike at a very reasonable cost. When your level of riding improves, or as soon as you begin riding your bike on tougher terrain (BMX tracks, skateparks, ramps, trails, etc), you should consider moving up to a lighter & stronger bicycle to maximize your efforts.

CONTENTS The 6000-series of aluminum is an industry standard. 6061-T6 is strong and light, and has been used on all of the Redline Proline’s for the past decade. For 2010, the MX-20, MX-24 and the new MX Expert are now also built from this tried and true material.

The use of 4130 Chromoly has been a Redline staple since day one. Since our humble beginnings in 1974, the first Redline forks, frame and cranks were spec’d with aircraft-quality 4130 Chromoly. To this day, Redline uses a mixture of chromoly tubing in our RL series of bicycles.
