Card Making Â
Written by: Danika Manguiat, Bulletin Editor At meeting, on Thursday, October 9th, our members who are unable to go to RTC got together to make cards for our sponsored club. The cards we made will be going to the K Kids members in Jack Daily. When the board was thinking about creating cards, we all decided to make cards for the kids in order to welcome them into their club. Although the members were at first confused about why we were making cards, I could tell that they started to really have fun with making the cards. Many of our members got creative and began to add little embellishments to make the cards look even better. Those who weren’t able to finish it, or wanted to do even more, asked me if they could take it home and have it done by the next week. Or course, who am I to tell them no? Next month, our members will even be attending one of their meetings in order to deliver the cards and all the school supplies we collected for the kids. I really hope that our hard work will make the kids happy and excited for their club and the service that they will participate in. //3//

School Supply Drive
Written by: Elisa Loden, Secretary
In the month of September, SECTA’s Key Club organized a school supply drive. All school supplies donated will be given to our K-Kids at Jack Dailey Elementary School! We spent our last meeting making cards to give to teachers and students with the school supplies. Clubbers wrote how happy they were to be donating supplies to their local youth. The school supplies donated included the following: markers, crayons, colored pencils, paper, notebooks, glue, and so much more! We have over 120 school supplies to donate! Sadly, no photos of our school supplies could be taken. In addition, we also collected pajamas to be donated to the 1 Million Good Night Pajama Program. The 1 Million Good Nights is held by MAXX Properties and the Pajama Program. Their goal is to collect unused books, nightgowns, or complete set of pajamas for youth! The pajama sizes could have ranged from infant to age 18. All pajamas, books, or nightgowns will be donated to local, in need youth. When our Key Clubbers found out about these opportunities, they jumped right in to it. Many clubbers said that they are very happy to donate to help others. That is what we, at Southeast Career and Technical Academy’s Key Club strive to do! Helping others is our main goal, and seeing our new and returning members join us is spectacular.

RTC This year was my first RTC, and it was beyond amazing. We did lots of cheers and we even made lots of friends, too. Even though we didn't move on to the next round, it was still a lot of fun to be able to see other schools do their cheers. Overall, it was super fun to be able to show school spirit and it was just a really great experience!
This year on October 18th RTC was held at Centennial High School. We learned more about what key club is about and how we can help our community. Not only did we learn how to be a better community helper we had a lot of fun meeting other key clubbers from different schools. We also had a lot of fun cheering for key club and helping out our community. I just can't wait to go to the next RTC!

A word from your bulletin editor!
Hello Key Clubbers! I know I’m not the one who usually gets this page, but I wanted to take this opportunity to say how amazing you all are! Not only did we start this year off with so many new members, but we were also met with an amazing performance done by all of you. The very eagerness you’ve all displayed is simply amazing and I’m happy to see so many of you taking initiative and suggesting different events we can do. Remember, just because RTC is over, does not mean that the fun is! To all new members, please look forward to the other different events we have later in the year. What you’ve all participated in so far is simply the tip of the mountain. Together, the other board members and I are looking forward to the golden year we will be having all together. This year, hopefully we will all be able to stock up our 50 hours and spread our love of Key Club to bring in new members! I hope you’re all looking forward to our upcoming events, because I know I am! Cheer loud. Serve proud. D28S.
