Introduzione / Intro
Il Sedicicorto International Film Festival Forlì compie dodici anni. Anche quest'anno siamo chiamati al compito graditissimo di scrivere l'introduzione al Catalogo, cercando in poche righe di dare corpo all'entusiasmo e alla gratitudine verso questa manifestazione e verso i suoi organizzatori. Sedicicorto, infatti, è un Festival che ogni anno cresce e si arricchisce di partecipanti al concorso, di sezioni tematiche di approfondimento, di pubblico, di interesse da parte degli operatori del settore e che, soprattutto, amplia ogni anno il suo spazio di visibilità sulla piattaforma regionale, nazionale ed internazionale, portando all'attenzione del pubblico la Città di Forlì. Il cinema, nella nostra Città, ha una tradizione lunga e distintiva che coincide con la storia del pubblico cinematografico in Italia. Negli ultimi anni, l'offerta di fruizione cinematografica cittadina - nonostante alcuni preziosi operatori continuino a proporla in termini di qualità e di valore ha subito una forte contrazione, come conseguenza del fenomeno della crisi culturale più generale che ha investito questi ultimi dieci anni. Il Festival Cinematografico Sedicicorto dimostra di contrastare proprio questo fenomeno, investendo nell'accrescimento della cultura cinematografica del pubblico e realizzando, anche quest'anno, le proiezioni nella cornice storica del Cinema Apollo, ultima sala cinematografica storica di Forlì fondata nel 1914. La costanza e la continuità di questi dodici anni di lavoro hanno fatto sì che oggi Sedicicorto sia divenuto uno dei concorsi di corti cinematografici più importanti e longevi d'Italia, oltre che un'impagabile occasione per i forlivesi di essere spettatori dell'affascinante rituale di un Festival cinematografico a tutti gli effetti. Per tutte queste ragioni, nonostante le difficoltà del momento storico, siamo convinti che sia necessario continuare ad investire e a credere nella realizzazione di questo concorso, sia da parte degli sponsor sostenitori e degli organizzatori che, naturalmente, da parte di tutta la cittadinanza, per progettare insieme un futuro di ulteriore crescita.
Sedicicorto International Film Festival Forlì is now 12 years old. Also this year, we are pleased to have the task of writing the introduction to the Festival catalog, trying in a few lines to express the enthusiasm and the gratitude for this event and its organizers. Indeed Sedicicorto is a Festival in constant growth: every year more films in competition, more thematic sections, a growing audience and a growing interest from the film industry professionals. And, above all, more visibility at a regional, national, and international level, bringing the Town of Forlì in the spotlight. In our town, cinema has a long and characteristic tradition that goes hand in hand with the history of the movie audience in Italy. In recent years, the movie theater supply in town despite some quality services are still offered has suffered a strong decline because of the general cultural crisis characterizing the last ten years. Sedicicorto short film festival is an event contrasting with this phenomenon, investing in the development of the audience movie literacy and bringing its screenings once more into the historical setting of Cinema Apollo, the last remaining movie theater of Forlì, founded in 1914. The perseverance and continuity of these twelve years of work have transformed Sedicicorto into one of the most important and enduring short film festivals in Italy, as well as into a great occasion for the people of Forlì to witness the fascinating ritual of a film festival. For all these reasons, despite the problems of the historical circumstances, we believe that it is important for all of us - supporters, organizers, and the townspeople - to continue to invest in the event in order to plan together a future of further growth.

A ogni vincitore delle 4 sezioni competitive sarà assegnato un premio in denaro e il trofeo LuminOR. I premi in denaro saranno inviati ai vincitori tramite bonifico entro il 31/12/2015. Sílvia Ferran Salvadó: Co-direttrice del Festival FEC_Reus European Short Film Festival (Spagna). Laureata in Belle Arti, fotografa e grafica di professione, espone le sue opere nelle gallerie spagnole e del resto del mondo dal 1995. Insieme con Christian Inaraja, gestisce lo studio di progettazione Valdrada, che si occupa principalmente di progettazione di cartelloni pubblicitari e allestimento di mostre. Grazie all’accurata selezione e all’alto livello di opere in concorso, oggi il Festival FEC rappresenta un evento di riferimento in Europa per il mondo dei cortometraggi contemporanei. Sílvia Ferran Salvadó: Co-director of FEC Festival_Reus European Short Film Festival (Spain). BA in Fine Arts, professional photographer and graphic designer, she has exhibited in galleries in Spain and abroad since 1995. Jointly with Christian Inaraja, she is the head of the Valdrada design studio, primarily poster design and setting up exhibitions. Today, the FEC Festival is a benchmark event for contemporary short filmmaking in Europe, due to the careful selection process and high level of the films that compete.
Mirca Viola inizia la sua carriera nel mondo del cinema con un ruolo da attrice protagonista accanto a Ben Gazzara nel film BANDITI, dove affianca anche il regista come assistente. Dopo varie esperienze come attrice al cinema e in TV, decide di dedicarsi completamente alla regia prima come aiuto di registi di grande talento come Giuseppe Ferrara (Falcone e Il caso Moro) e Tonino Valerii. Come regista debutta nel 2011 con il suo primo lungometraggio L’amore fa male. Nel 2014 dirige il lungometraggio Cam Girl. Mirca Viola begins her film career as leading actress together with Ben Gazzara in the film BANDITI, where she also works as assistant director. After various acting experiences in cinema and television, she decides to commit herself to filmmaking, at first as assistant of talented directors like Giuseppe Ferrara (Falcone and Il caso Moro) and Tonino Valerii. In 2011, she debuts as a director with her first feature film L’amore fa male. In 2014, she directs the feature Cam Girl.
Olha Reiter è direttrice esecutiva di Lviv Film Commission and Film Fund, oltre a essere co-fondatrice e amministratrice delegata di una delle ONG più attive nel settore dell’audiovisivo in Ucraina - Wiz-Art (wiz-art.ua). Nata nella bella e antica città di Lviv, nell’Ucraina occidentale, Olha si è laureata in Filologia e Culture Slave presso l’Università Ivan Franko di Lviv. A partire dal 2006 organizza per l’università un cineclub e successivamente, spinta dalla sua passione per il cinema, nel 2008 diventa co-fondatrice del Lviv International Short Film Festival, per lei il primo passo della carriera nel mondo del cinema. Olha Reiter is an executive director of Lviv Film Commission and Film Fund, she is also a co-founder and CEO one of the most visible and active NGOs in audiovisual field in Ukraine - Wiz-Art (wiz-art.ua). She was born in the beautiful and old city of Lviv, Western Ukraine. Olha graduated from Lviv National University of Ivan Franko, Slavic Philology and Cultural Studies. In 2006, she started to run a film club at the university and then, following her passion for films, she co-founded Lviv International Short Film Festival in 2008, which became the first step of her career in film.
Morvern Cunningham si è occupata negli ultimi tre anni della gestione del Glasgow Short Film Festival affiancando Matt Lloyd, il Direttore del Festival. In questo periodo ha assistito a una crescita graduale dell’evento e lo ha visto diventare il principale festival di cortometraggi in Scozia. Morvern gestisce anche le manifestazioni del network globale Future Shorts sia a Glasgow che a Edimburgo, ed è la co-fondatrice del collettivo di cinema surrealista KinoKlub con sede a Edimburgo. Inoltre, sta lavorando all’organizzazione del nuovissimo Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQIFF) in Scozia. Morvern Cunningham has been Festival Coordinator of the Glasgow Short Film Festival for the last three years alongside Festival Director Matt Lloyd, and has in that time witnessed its growth into Scotland's premier short film festival. Morvern also runs global film network Future Shorts events in both Glasgow and Edinburgh, and is co-founder of Edinburgh-based surrealist film collective KinoKlub. She is also working to establish the newly formed Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQIFF) across Scotland.

Christian Inaraja Genís, Co-direttore del Festival FEC_Reus European Short Film Festival (Spagna). Artista e illustratore, con le sue opere ha partecipato a molte esposizioni sia in Spagna che all’estero . Si occupa principalmente di illustrazione di libri e cartellonistica. Ha illustrato più di settanta libri che sono stati pubblicati dai principali editori e tradotti in molte lingue. Disegna inoltre regolarmente per pubblicazioni dedicate a bambini e/o ragazzi. Christian Inaraja Genís, Co-director of FEC Festival_Reus European Short Film Festival (Spain). Artist and illustrator, he has had several exhibitions of his work, both in Spain and abroad. As an illustrator, his work is mainly focused on book illustration and poster design. He has illustrated more than seventy books, published by leading publishers and translated into several languages, as well as drawing regularly in many regular publications, especially those for children and/or young people.
Rita Capucho svolge il dottorato in Cinema e Studi Audiovisivi presso l’Università di Coimbra, con un progetto di ricerca sul cinema amatoriale portoghese. Si è laureata in discipline artistiche presso la Facoltà di Lettere dell’Università di Coimbra. Attualmente lavora come produttrice presso il Cineclub di Avanca e lo Studio di animazione Filmógrafo e collabora all’organizzazione del Film Festival di Avanca - International Meeting of Cinema, TV, Video and Multimedia. Lavora inoltre come programmatrice presso la sala cinematografica Cinema Dolce Vita di Ovar. Rita Capucho is a doctoral student in Film and Image Studies at the University of Coimbra, with a research project on the Portuguese amateur cinema. BA and MA in Art Studies at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra. She currently works as a producer at Cineclube of Avanca and Filmógrafo Animation Studios and participates in the organization of the Avanca Film Festival - International Meeting of Cinema, TV, video and Multimedia. She’s programmer of the cinema room Cinema Dolce Vita de Ovar.
Paola Bristot è docente di Linguaggi dell’arte Contemporanea e Teoria e Analisi del Cinema e degli Audiovisivi, presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna. Tamás Gábeli - Ho aperto gli occhi durante i miei viaggi per il mondo nella seconda metà degli anni novanta e sono entrato nel labirinto della cultura visiva – di cui pensavo che mi interessasse solo la parte documentaristica, finché non mi sono reso conto dell’enorme complessità del mondo della settima arte. Panettiere, impiegato, operaio nel settore dell’energia solare, scaricatore di porto, giardiniere, ebanista, regista amatoriale, tecnico cinematografico, pubblicitario… E dopo essermi risollevato dai fallimenti dei miei film, mi sono dato ai cortometraggi internazionali. Padre di due bimbi, assistente BioGroup, e direttore del BuSho International Short Film Festival. Tamás Gábeli - I awaked to my consciousness during international saunters in the second half of the nineties and I got into the labyrinth of the visual culture – about which I thought I was interested only in the documentarist part, but after a while I realized: the youngest branch of the fine arts was much more complex. Bakerman, office-worker, solar-factorist, longshoreman, gardener, cabinetmaker, hobby-filmmaker, cinema technician, adman… And by rousing on the failures of my own films I took up international shorts at the millenary. Francesco Saverio Marzaduri, nato a Bologna nel 1977, si è laureato presso il Dipartimento di Arte, Musica e Spettacolo di Bologna con votazione 110/110 con lode e riconoscimento della “dignità di stampa”. È stato organizzatore di forum cinematografici. In qualità di critico collabora presso blog e riviste cinematografiche web e cartacee. Nel 2012 ha pubblicato un saggio monografico intitolato Noul Val – Il nuovo cinema romeno 1989-2009, edito da Archetipo e distribuito dalla casa editrice CLUEB. Francesco Saverio Marzaduri, born in Bologna in 1977, graduated from the Department of Music and Performing Arts of the University of Bologna with full marks and “dignity of printing”. He organized film forums. He collaborates as film critic with several blogs and film magazines, both online and traditional. Maurizio Villani è professore stabile di Storia della filosofia presso l’Istituto Superiore di Scienze religiose di Ferrara, dove ha tenuto anche Laboratori sul rapporto tra Cinema e religioni. È membro del Consiglio direttivo e della Commissione didattica della Società Filosofica Italiana. Ha scritto numerosi saggi filosofici e manuali di storia della filosofia. Ha curato una collana filosofica della Hoepli, di cui sono usciti quattro volumi. Collabora con la rivista telematica “Conoscenze filosofiche” e con i siti Internet “Il Giardino Dei Pensieri” e “Philosophica”. Da tempo interessato a una riflessione critica sul cinema, è redattore e collaboratore dalla rivista della FEDIC “Carte di Cinema”, su cui scrive saggi sul rapporto tra cinema e filosofia. Maurizio Villani is professor of History of Philosophy at the University of Religious Science in Ferrara, where he also held workshops on the relationship between cinema and religions. He is member of the Directorate and the Education Commission of the Italian Philosophical Society. He has written several philosophy essays and history of philosophy manuals. He has edited a philosophical collection in four volumes for Hoepli publishing house. He contributes to the online magazine “Conoscenze filosofiche” and to the websites “Il Giardino Dei Pensieri” and “Philosophica”. La giuria, composta attraverso un sistema di pre-iscrizione, ha visionato i 16 film finalisti della sezione ANIMARE e attraverso scontri diretti di 2 film alla volta, ha votato il vincitore finale sabato 11 luglio 2015 a Cesenatico (FC). The Junior Jury is formed by 125 children aged between 3-12. The jury members, selected through a pre-registration system, have watched the 16 finalists of the ANIMARE category and, during “screening duels” of two films at a time, they have chosen the winner on Saturday 11th July 2015 in Cesenatico (FC).

Autour de Minuit is a film production company based in Paris created in 2001 by Nicolas Schmerkin. The company aims at supporting aesthetically innovative projects, and develops original graphic worlds with a solid content. Hybridization -at the heart of the artistic approach of most of the works born in the company- gives the opportunity to explore new ideas and sensations in plastic art and intent to provide with visuals never to be seen before. Since 2004, Autour de Minuit also deals with world distribution of animations and digital works, with a catalogue of nearly 200 films.The company is still producing shorts but also TV series (Babioles on Canal +) and is developing several feature film projects as well.

fotografa il festival sedicicorto 1 – Evento All’interno del Festival Sedicicorto, si propone un concorso fotografico dal titolo CLICCORTO. 2 – Modalità di partecipazione CLICCORTO è un concorso per fotografie digitali che si svolge durante il Festival Sedicicorto. Il concorrente potrà scattare quante foto vorrà, ma potrà presentare un massimo di 3 (tre) fotografie. Scopo del concorso è premiare il concorrente che avrà interpretato nel modo più originale l'evento Sedicicorto. 3 – Partecipanti CLICCORTO è aperto a tutti. 4– Materiale tecnico E’ ammessa la partecipazione con qualsiasi tipo di apparecchiatura digitale atta a scattare fotografie. Le foto dovranno essere esclusivamente in formato jpg: non sono ammessi altri formati. Possono essere eseguiti scatti fotografici in ogni momento del Festival (Premiazioni, Allestimenti, Anteprima Festival, Meeting, Party, ecc.). "Filo di luce" di Eva Bureau
Sezione Fotografica: "Punto Luce" di Juri Ancona
Concorso artistico rivolto agli studenti del Liceo Liceo Artistico e Musicale Statale di Forlì. In occasione dell’Anno Internazionale della Luce e delle tecnologie basate sulla luce ( www.light2015.org ), il tema proposto era: La rappresentazione della luce, attraverso pittura, fotografia e materia. Al concorso hanno partecipato 42 opere. Un comitato scientifico ha individuato le 16 opere finaliste, mentre una giuria composta da 9 persone ha individuato i tre vincitori del concorso. Il concorso è prmosso e supportato dal Gruppo Hera. Ai 3 singoli vincitori viene assegnato un premio di 150€. Le opere finaliste saranno esposte per il periodo del Festival da 8 al 17 Ottobre 2015. 52
