Language Lake focuses on providing students with fun and re practice language development! Students will be introduced to new vocabulary and will be provided with opportunities for language input as well as oral language production. Built in scaffolds will support students to use vocabulary in context of complete sentences and apply their learning immediately using the creative tools.

Best Practices

Repetition: Language Lake lessons can begin as a whole class experience and then be re-assigned in small groups, partners, or independently. Provide repetition as students receive language input and produce oral language.

Real-World Connections: Incorporate props and other hands-on materials to provide students opportunities to practice the same activities they do in Seesaw with real world objects.

Interaction: Foster interaction between students, as the Connect modules encourage students to use oral language in authentic interactions with peers!
