Maria I Sanchez, resident of Seguin, TX, passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 67 years old. Mary celebrated her 67th birthday on January 24. She was born in 1956 and married to her husband, Gus in 1971. Mary was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Wife. She loved to take care of anyone who needed it. She loved Casinos, Bingo, and spending time with her family. Most of all she had so much love to give.

Thank you, GRMC ER, ICU and Respiratory Staff for the amazing help and love given throughout her stay.

Mary was Predeceased by father, Ruben Perez, Sr. and Sister, Theresa Armendariz

She is Survived by her husband of 52 years, Gus Sanchez, Jr.; Son, Domingo Sanchez (Ramiro); Daughters Beatrice Paiz (Rudy); Elsa Sanchez (Adrian) and Erica Phillips (Jason)

Mother, Argripina Campos, Sister Delia Hernandez and Brother, Ruben Perez Jr (Annie)

Grandchildren: Bianca Paiz (Jordan); Monica Paiz (Oscar); Julyssa Rodriguez; Jonathan Rodriguez (Maria); David Aldana; Christian Ayala, Isabella Phillips; Sianna Oviedo; Xavier Ruiz, Yovanny Gutierrez, and Johnathan Gutierrez.

Great Grandchildren: Jordan Rodriguez, Kataleya Rodriguez, Jonathan “Rocco” Rodriguez Jr, Milena Rose Bustamante, Angelita Rodriguez, Jordan “JJ” Leal Jr and Estella Rodriguez.

Mary had numerous nieces, nephews and family friends that were always considered family.

Visitation will be at Palmer Mortuary on Monday, February 13, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. A funeral procession will depart the Palmer Mortuary chapel and interment will be at Santo Tomas Cemetery. Esther Hilda (Mache) Vecera 92, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 in a local hospital. She was born on April 17, 1930 to Julius Mache and Minnie Lorfing and raised in a family of ten siblings in Schulenburg, Texas.

Shortly after her marriage to Joseph Vecera, the couple moved to Seguin, Texas to live and raise their family. Esther enjoyed cooking, canning vegetables from her garden, quilting and spending time with her great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; all nine siblings; her loving husband, Joseph Vecera of over 55 years of marriage; daughter, Carolyn Vecera; sons, Carlton Vecera and David Vecera as well as grandson, Phillip Griffin.

Esther is survived by daughter, Shirley Markgraf (Arthur, Jr.); 6 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Arthur Trey Markgraf III, Chris Markgraf, Brian Griffin, C.J. Markgraf, Matthew Markgraf, Caleb Markgraf.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Hill and Lyric Lalley. A brief viewing will be on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Palmer Mortuary beginning at 1:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. a funeral procession will depart concluding the service and interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels, Texas.
