(Seguin) -- A robbery suspect remains behind bars after assaulting a store clerk. Seguin Police say at approximately 6:20 a.m., Tuesday, Seguin Police patrol officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Frankie's Food Mart located in the 900 block of West Kingsbury Street.

The caller reported that two males with masks had assaulted the clerk and had left the location.

In the surveillance video, two males are seen entering the location displaying a firearm, assaulting the clerk, taking sums of money, and store merchandise.

A Seguin Detective observed and confirmed the two males, who matched the suspect description in the surveillance video, in the area of Frankie's Food Mart.

Patrol officers arrived at the location of the males, and located a large sum of cash, bank-rolled coins, and the reported stolen merchandise on their person. Taken into custody were Joshua Garcia,17, of Marion, and a 16-year-old juvenile from Seguin.

The juvenile was transported to the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center. Garcia was transported to the Guadalupe County Jail and is charged with one count of aggravated robbery. Anyone with more information on this incident is asked to reach detectives at 830-379-2123.
