Celebrate Recovery

The Celebrate Recovery ministry at Crossroads Church meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday nights at 3455 W. Hwy 90 in Seguin. Celebrate recovery is for anyone dealing with anxiety, alcohol, depression, codependency, unforgiveness, self doubt, addiction, grief, eating disorders, relationships, anger, substance abuse, destructive behavior, spending, stress, and more. Freedom Fiesta

Freedom Fiesta presented by KWED will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 1 in Central Park in downtown Seguin. There will be entertainment, a variety of over 10 food trucks, non-profit food vendors, other vendors, cold drinks, and time to connect with the community. For more information call 830-379-2234.

GCRW Kiddie Parade at Freedom Fiesta

The Guadalupe County Republican Women will have its Kiddie Parade to kick off KWED’s Freedom Fiesta at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 1 on Donegan St. next to Seguin’s Central Park gazebo. Kids can ride in their strollers, on their bikes or scooters, in their motorized vehicles, or just march around Central Park following Uncle Sam (aka, John Kuempel) around the square. Geronimo VFW Dance

The Geronimo VFW Post 8456 will have a dance, with Randy Carson Band, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 2 at 6808 N. Hwy 123 in Geronimo. The doors open at 1:30 p.m. with a $10 admission. For more information call or text 830-305-8829.

Central Park Summer Concert Series

The last performance of the Central Park Summer Concert Series will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 2 in downtown Seguin. The San Antonio Symphonic Band will be performing a Patriotic Concert. The concert is family-friendly and free. Don’t forget to bring your chair or blanket.

AA Meetings

Guadalupe Appraisal District Closure

The Guadalupe Appraisal District will be closed Monday, July 3 and Tuesday July 4. The office will re-open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 5.

City of Seguin Offices and Library Closure

The City of Seguin non-emergency offices and the Seguin Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Offices will re-open on Wednesday, July 5. Garbage and recycling will be collected as normal.

WWII & Service Dog Monument Dedication

The American Legion H.U. Wood Post 245 will have a WWII & Service Dog Monument Dedication at noon Tuesday, July 4 at 618 E. Kingsbury St. in Seguin. The monument is over 9ft of solid mesquite wood and possibly the largest wooden military monument in the nation. The public is welcome to attend. Seguin Premier Toastmasters

Seguin Premier Toastmasters will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. the 1st and 3rd Wednes- days of the month at GVEC Community Room, located at 927 SH-46 in Seguin. Mariachi Summer Spectacular Concert

There will be a Mariachi Summer Spectacular Concert, Featuring Mariachi Matador and Mariachi Jalisciense, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at the Seguin High School Performing Arts Center. Come Support Mariachi Matador as they head to workshops and competition in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Mariachi Spectacular July 14-17. Tickets are $10 each.
