Seguin Fire Department Fan Drive

The Seguin Fire Department Fan Drive is currently underway. Fans will be available to households (within the Seguin city limits only) that are without air conditioning. Fans can be picked up between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Municipal Court/Fire Administration building, located at 660 S. Hwy 46. A picture ID and proof of residency is required. limit one fan per household. If you received a fan last year, you are ineligible this year. La Trinidad UMC Vacation Bible School

“Printmaking in the Natural World” Workshop

The Seguin Art League will offer a “Printmaking the Natural World” Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 11 through Friday, July 14 at 104 S. Austin St. in Seguin. Participants will get an introduction to linear design through carving a block such as the Old Master and Albrecht Durer. The class is for ages 12 to adult. Limit 12. Summer Strings and Choral Camps Registration

Registration for the July 10 through July 14

The Hermann Sons Life Seguin meets every third Wednesday of the month. The social time begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a meal at 7 p.m. Members are asked to bring a side or dessert.

Library Summer Reading Experience Enrollment Open

Enrollment for the Seguin Public Library’s “All Together Now!,” Summer Reading Experience is open for young children (ages 0 to 4), kids/ preteens (ages 5-11), teens (ages 12-17) and adults (ages 18+). Register in person or online. A library card is not required to enroll in the program. All age groups have until Thursday, July 20 to complete their gameboards for a chance at fabulous raffle prizes. The library will draw the lucky winners at 11 a.m. Friday, July 21.

Seguin Parks and Recreation Summer Movies in the Park

The Seguin Parks and Recreation Department will have its free Summer Movies in the Park at dusk on Friday, July 21 and Friday, Aug. 25 in Max Starcke Park East near the Patricia K.
