eginning to play the piano at just five years old, Brittani Mueller knew that music was her one passion in life. Born in Hendersonville, Tennessee, Brittani grew up listening to a lot of country music, thus incorporating the banjo, ukulele, and guitar into her musical abilities. Her passion for music has only grown more over the years. “Music is my passion because I feel that music is a way of expressing emotions and experiences that can be related to.” Brittani’s style of music can be defined as a mix of blues and folk with some country and rock undertones. “It took me several years of consistently practicing, writing music, and playing to finally combine several styles of music that influenced me to achieve the sound that I have now,” says Brittani. “My sound will continue changing and growing over time.” Brittani says knowing that others who listen to her music can walk away with some hope or understanding of what is going on in their lives is her ultimate goal as a musician. She says that her original songs are usually about people or events in her life that she has experienced. She says that a popular topic in her songs are those about love, relationships, and breakups. But, she hopes to bring her listeners a more positive message about where they are in their lives right now. “I feel that sometimes people need to hear about finding direction or finding your home, understanding the purpose behind the actions of those who hurt you, and realizing that what seems to be exactly what you want in life and perfect is sometimes what we already have.”
Brittani’s first EP “Tug of War” just came out in September. “The experience of writing, recording, and promoting this EP has helped me as a musician to learn so much for the future,” says Brittani. “I almost view myself as an entrepreneur starting up a business or career in music and learning to grow it daily.”
